The Sun... Page Three has now gone.... And now it's back

End of an era the Sun has quietly dropped the printed page three girl after 40 plus years...

which made me think  who was your fave page 3 girl and any memories of that page....

Linda Lusardi is my all time fave and I remember as 12 year old in the 1970's taking a quick look in my granddads copy when visiting him....

Happy days...

I'm only 23 so I can't really remember if the thoughts bubble has always existed on them, but what the hell was the point in that? Nobody is looking at Page 3 to find out that 'Kate (with her tits out), 21, disagrees with the Leninist idea of Marxism, and insist that the entirety of working class people must be committed to the cause in order for a proletarian revolution to work.'

Disagree that feminists don't have a right to be against it simply because they don't read it however. I don't read the Daily Mail, but I disagree with 99% of the crap they produce. If they really wanted to start a campaign agaisnt the Sun, there's certainly more worthwhile ventures than some baps though.

I'd have been happy with this if it had been dropped due to lack of demand. I think it's mildly inappropriate to have it in a fairly public place and would prefer it if it weren't there. As it is, it seems as if it's the result of pushy feminists shouting loud enough and finally getting what they want. Feels a bit like mob rule.

Express your disapproving opinion by all means but dishing out instructions with a megaphone is too much. Starting petitions and campaigns asking people to stop small interactions like this seem wrong to me.

More ideological puritism enforced on the masses by the minority.

A sad day when adults can't do or read what they choose themselves.

You do like your over reactions, Matt.

It's not like feminist pressure groups have outlawed porn or put Nuts/Zoo out of business.

A paper that's come in for a lot of bad press over the last couple of years is just making a cheap token gesture to try and appear to be cleaner and more widely appealing. They're not doing it because they have to, it's just a marketing ploy to try and expand their readership and win back some credibility.

This isn't some argument on social freedoms, it's just Murdoch playing a hand.

At least it'll stop thick girls having an ambition to 'be a page 3 model'

Yeah they can focus on shooting for the dream of marrying a premiership footballer now

I'm not bothered that I can't see some chebs on page 3 anymore. More that those man hating feminazis have won another personal battle.

More evidence of the global conspiracy against white, heterosexual, male Christians.

"First they came for the cheb-lovers but I didn't speak up...."

lol

my aunty was questioning to my other uncle as to why I read the sun and she remarked that it must be for page 3. It couldn't be further from the truth tbh. Even in the building trade I can't think of anyone who buys the sun for that reason. Its quite a poor paper on the whole but I found that when we were in league 1 it had the best coverage with a small match report unlike many papers (broadsheets in particular) I've just always stuck with it since

safesearch off was a gamechanger in year 7 IT

as was thinking of words to get pics of tits that weren't blocked by the school filter. 'Nice rack' was a winner.

I can imagine in 1970 getting a huge thrill out of Page 3, but nowadays there's really no point when 90% of men are googling much harder stuff anyway.

I can imagine a lot of builders in transit vans up and down the country abandoning the Sun now, mind.

That was the whole point though. Nice babe with decent boobs, leaves a bit to the imagination and is fairly harmless innocent stuff. Googling Hot babe with huge tits getting creampied  by 12 inch cock is a taking a bit of harmless fun too far. IMO.
