ozleicester Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 Not available until July 29th or were you thinking of one of the beta testers. cheers, no after my win 8 experience... im going to try and wait
DB11 Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 We've got 3 PCs with windows 7, 2 desktops and a laptop will just get the oldest desktop upgraded first to see how it goes. If it's the oldest make sure that the hardware is compatible with an upgrade, otherwise you may be left with something useless if it is not powerful to run the Operating System
davieG Posted 5 June 2015 Posted 5 June 2015 If it's the oldest make sure that the hardware is compatible with an upgrade, otherwise you may be left with something useless if it is not powerful to run the Operating System It's the one that was running slow a few weeks back but seems ok now I've reinstalled windows Intel Core 2 Quad CPU @ 2.33GHz RAM is 4 GB ( 3.19 usable) 32 Bit
midland_red Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 If anyone is thinking of upgrading I would give it 6 months or so first. There are bound to be bugs to be fixed.....
FrankieADZ Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 on the register thing it does say Install Pick a time thats good for you.... so in theory you could register, download it....then just install it when you want....
MrSpaM Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 on the register thing it does say Install Pick a time thats good for you.... so in theory you could register, download it....then just install it when you want.... It actually downloads onto a folder on your pc automatically if you register, ready to be installed whenever you want
FrankieADZ Posted 11 June 2015 Posted 11 June 2015 It actually downloads onto a folder on your pc automatically if you register, ready to be installed whenever you want thought so, might do that & put in on my laptop proper when they release a proper media suite & that for Windows 10....since it wont have one on launch.
rico Posted 19 July 2015 Posted 19 July 2015 Had an email today asking if i wanted to reserve Windows 10 upgrade for free, anybody else had this?
ozleicester Posted 19 July 2015 Posted 19 July 2015 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/98996-windows-10-upgrade-to-be-free-for-one-year/
Jam Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 'Reserved' my copy last night. This is a bit of a noob question but will football manager run on Windows 10 after I upgrade?
The Horse's Mouth Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 Everybody needs to get a Mac. christ you're just awful all around aren't you
lavrentis Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 christ you're just awful all around aren't you ooh yeah
Collymore Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 This is officially released today. I've reserved my copy but it doesn't let you know any more information on how the download is getting on. I'd imagine their servers are getting hammered. I suppose if there's any company with the infrastructure and hardware to handle this it would be Microsoft.
ozleicester Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Trying very hard to not chase this download.. rather let the 1st week of problems and faults happen and then get the "smooth" version lmao
FrankieADZ Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 best idea is to wait i think, im not risking it for the minute
whoareyaaa Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Is the OS like 8 or 7 in terms of layout, Windows 8 for business use is discusting!! And they are saying that you get a free years upgrade right so what happens after the year do you have to pay or something? ] Any why are they trying to do away with Windows 7 for its a beast!
kingcarr21 Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 They say windows 10 doesnt let you watch DVD's. Any idea if thats true or not?
Webbo Posted 29 July 2015 Author Posted 29 July 2015 I've upgraded and it's been restarting for 15 minutes. Is that normal?
