Capoue all day long. Exactly the sort of player I've wanted since we got promoted. We don't need another winger in my opinion.

So sign Lennon on a perm and loan Capoue.
Babylon Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Capoue all day long. Exactly the sort of player I've wanted since we got promoted. We don't need another winger in my opinion. Unless of course Spurs wanted one of ours in exchange. We had any wingers play well against them recently? *chucks random speculation and runs*
nickelbyfox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Would be a great signing - but don't see it happening. We have left it all a bit late I think, or never really wanted to get anyone else it
Brenfox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Why do people assume we've only just decided to bother today? Maybe we have been working on these deals for a few days/weeks.
SecretPro Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Everything comes down to wages with city. If you want quality, you gotta pay quality wages. Now is not the time to be a tight wad.
Callabinho Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 There's no such thing as "just bothering today" the club would have expressed interest long ago, they put together a list of players, and then make enquiries, come deadline day the interest is already there and the club then make the bids int he order of the list.
LCFCFOX6190 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Doesn't sound promising if his wages are high then. Would love him here though!
Brenfox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I think it's worth the few extra quid a week if he keeps us up!
Robin JD Popley Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Without having the exact data to hand it is a stab in the dark, but going on 'rumoured' wages of an average PL footballer I bet we are about 20% down on most PL clubs net outlay per player each week in wages. I wouldn't be surprised if Capoue is on about £75,000 to £80,000 p/w (at least) so we have got to be prepared going into negotiations with offers of around (rumoured) £30,000 tops that it won't be anywhere near enough to secure top players UNLESS we can strike an agreement over wage splits in loan deals. That is the reality of the Premier League.
Babylon Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I think it's wortg the few extra quid a week if he keeps us up!Let the owners know its guaranteed, I'm sure they will stump up then.
Tielemans63 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 This would be a great signing. Make it happen Top.
Strokes Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Let the owners know its guaranteed, I'm sure they will stump up then.Well playing albrighton guarantees a win, so why bother?
jammie82uk Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 In the last 25 minutes, Sky Bet have seen a lot of money on Etienne Capoue to move to West Brom. The Tottenham defender is now 1/4 to sign for the Baggies before the window shuts this evening, and 7/2 to stay at White Hart Lane.
MikeyT Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Do you not see any of the threads about deadline day or wishlists, tool! Does it really matter to you? Moan about something that matters,
Carlos88LCFC Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Coming to us on loan for either would give them star status if they managed to keep us up. Especially Lennon. Going to any other club on loan they would just "fit in" if they come here they could become a legend! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

VLC86 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Signed way to much Catpoo already this season for me. Sorry

I will be absolutely astounded if he's on as much as 75/80K On another note, suggested him the other week - exactly what we need, essentially a better Dean Hammond (not to discredit the Hamster)
Stadt Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 We need a player that can rub with the ball in the centre, not another defensive/industrious player
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I will be extremely surprised if we manage to land him, Just can't see this one happening, but would love to see it happen.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 We need a player that can rub with the ball in the centre, not another defensive/industrious player No reason why King or any of our more attack minded central midfielders couldn't play that role if they're being relieved a little more of defensive duties.
