Terry Robinson was sacked for summer window disaster

In the summer we were preaching about how our squad would be comfortably good enough.

Sign a £9m striker with a cracking record and two experienced PL players. We've not signed enough.

Sign 9 players, and undoubtedly that's too much upheaval and NP will have lost the plot.

What a load of bollocks, we could sign Ronaldo and people would find something wrong.

You can in premier league ...sack it and spend big on a better more intelligent model

Like i said... you just cant fix stupid.

However I'm feeling generous so I'll explain it one more time.

We are at the bottom of the premier league.

We were not at the beginning of the season.

We had a chance to sign a few more decent players at the beginning of the season, now, however, the door isnt even being opened when we are knocking on It. Why? BECAUSE WE ARE BOTTOM OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE.

At the end of the season you'll be defending Pearson whether we get relegated or not, let's be honest.

Yawn!!! I've critisised him more than enough this season already. But what I will still do is defend him against moronic comments or unfair critisism. But, if you can to do a Col and have selective reading then that's entirely up to you.

You can keep on trotting out the same out shit about us being behind Burnley all you like and I'll keep pointing out that we were also behind them for a very large part of last season also.

You can't compare the Summer window and the Winter window in the way that you are, the markets are completely different.

No team around us has done anything that resembles the kind of business people on here are crying out for this window. People aren't excusing Pearson when they say its difficult to bring players in - that are worth having anyway -  when you're sat bottom of the league in January. You can pin the failings of the season so far on Pearson as much as you like but it doesn't change the facts - we're not a desirable club for any top flight player.

IMO - The damage was done by whoever was responsible for recruitment in the Summer. Whether that was Pearson putting too much faith in the current squad or DoF refusing to pay transfer fees and wages to entice players in, we don't actually know.

'City still had some irons in the fire, including talks over Capoue, but decided during the evening not to pursue them'. (Mercury).

WHAT? Why on earth did we stop working at 8.30pm when we had chance still?

That's completely moronic, Terry was supposedly sacked for less... Jesus wept!

They may have been told by him or his agent that there is no chance of him joining us.

Because they knew the costs were too high.

Because they knew the player wasn't really interested and it was fruitless to carry on.

Plenty of reasons perhaps why.

Maybe because their demands were unrealistic and not proportional

Don't think it's anyone's fault.  Let's face it, it's hard to get a player to sign for a team at the bottom of the league, and agents and the selling team jack the price up in the winter window.

its all well and good saying that its hard to sign players but answer this, if we'd have done some proper business instead of investing in players that have never stepped foot into a half decent league we wouldnt be in the position we are now and we'd of been able to attract players with ease, yeah i know terry robinson seemed to be blamed for it, he was sacked, january comes around, oh yet again we've invested in practically the equivalent to a league 1 top scorer and a center back who has been added to the loan list because he simply isnt good enough, great way to make it look like we're actually making an effort to stay up. blame the people above pearson and his staff as much as you want but it seems after all pearson and his staff just dont seem to know how to manage in this league.

another thing if we had a better more known manager who has managed teams in this league such as pulis etc , then we would have more than likely attracted more players, pearson doesnt strike me as a manager i'd wanna play for especially with his arrogance and god awful team selection which clearly he seems to be doing to prove a point. another thing he wants to be respected and expects his fans to support him? not gonna happen when you insult fans for voicing their opinions no matter how it had been said he should not have replied in that way, he refuses to speak to bbc radio leicester which is where our fan base goes to first to ask questions and find out news to do with this club, what kind of pathetic guy does that and expects the fans to still be happy with him and back him, good sportsmanship really shows how to handle a club well

Well, I have to agree.

One very simple question. What has Pearson achieved so far this season? We ALL know the answer, whether we like it or not, and time is running out.

If he can manage to keep us up, then good on him. If not, then sack him.

I think peoples frustrations come down to the positions we have signed players in, not that they are bad signings, but we maybe had urgent requirements elsewhere. Do we really need 3 good keepers when young Smith is a capable 3rd choice for instance. We can sign the greatest strikers in the world but he hasnt improved the midfield to create for them, and we have seen so many games were we have barely managed a shot or two. Getting Mahrez back is massive for us (If he picks him, we can take nothing for granted with Mr P in charge) but we really need more options (Being as he will not give Albrighton or Knocky a fair go). Stop Mahrez, stop our supply! We create nothing through the middle. Huth for me is a great signing, at long last we may have someone that is good in the air at both ends to defend and attack set pieces, my only concern is his fitness and form as we simply dont have time to wait for him to get match fit, but its not fair to judge until we have seen him. Its baffling that he still hasnt brought a left back in, this has clearly been needed for a few years. Fans just want to see our manager put a balanced, well thought out team on the pitch with players in there strongest positions each week that gives us a 'chance' of a result, and at least have a go at teams, but in too many games he has put out a team and formation that has effectively handed the points to the opposition and made us all too easy to beat.

start again fresh with a manager who knows what hes doing and will get us back up there

1) Marc Albrighton (88 PL appearances), Esteban Cambiasso (76 Champions League appearances, 41 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid, 315 Serie A appearances for Inter Milan), Matt Upson (284 PL appearances), Danny Simpson (100 PL appearances). That's 4 out of the 8 first team players we signed in the summer.

2) I'm sure a "League One" top scorer would also score 7 in 15 in the Europa League, as well as being an international striker for Croatia (ranked 19th in the world, if that really means anything). Robert Huth loan listed because he's not good enough? Pull the other one. Stoke fans themselves say he's probably their best defender and would start for them had it not been for an injury last season and a couple of niggles this season. If Robert Huth isn't a good enough defender I don't know who Leicester fans expect us to sign!

3) Well that's just rubbish. I'd say a proportion do but to say it's where the whole fan base go first for info/news is utter tripe. There are numerous other free (and unquestionably better) sources for fans to use. We've also been through this before. He is not refusing to talk to BBC Radio Leicester, he is refusing to talk to Ian Stringer. BBC Radio Leicester could easily get Bourne or someone else to ask the questions but they don't.

Now this is not me defending our transfer business. I think we've fallen rather short. We've needed a LB for ages. We seem too concentrated on buying strikers but perhaps lack that creative midfielder to provide the service needed (although our wingers are usually the main source for that). Despite getting Albrighton in he won't play him, even though his performances have warranted a start. Etc...

But I couldn't help but notice the utter crap being spouted here. Jesus wept!

Some valid points but of those 4 players, one hasnt played at all (Granted not pearson fault), one Pearson seems to have a grudge against and appears to have preffered to hurt the team to save face, and another who has only recently got into the team, so out of all the experience we havent really made the most of it.

Yeah I know that. He wasn't saying that though.

We needed another goalkeeper, as cover for Hamer was paper-thin - Schmeichel is still out injured and I haven't had any news on his return yet. Schwarzer is a more than capable keeper who still has it at age 42 and adds much-needed experience. Same goes for Huth. Kramaric is an unknown quantity at this level, but I'd rather see him develop over time than demanding him to be an instant hit, like a portion of our fanbase usually does when a club-record signing arrives.

Just like with the manager, whether this season is a failure or success will only come to the surface once the final ball has been kicked somewhere in early May this year.

In the end, it all boils down to subjective (irrational or rational) expectations.

Not disputing that except we dont really have time for Krameric to develop, although there may be a case if he doesnt score many/any then no one may want him, hence he stays with us in championship should the worse happen. But why didnt he address midfield, can anyone seriously say that any of our central midfielders (Except Cambiassio) have been anywhere near the standard required or that they compliment each other with different qualities? IMO they are all OK players, but none are mobile, powerful or creative and while happy to pass the ball sideways and backwards, they dont get forward enough to support the strikers or try enough forward balls, leaving our strikers (Whatever combination) isolated chasing long punts into the channels. Why didnt he address left back, surely these were more pressing than a 3rd keeper?

Think too many people have been playing football manager. Getting players is not easy.

1) too many players are overvalued especially to a PL club

2) How do we know that these players won't affect the team chemistry and morale.

3) We have signed the fourth most players in the PL this winter.

Think we have addressed 2/3 areas of concern being a striker, cb and lb
