Deucalion Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Who Leicester should or shouldn't sign has been done to death, so the question here is, compared to the likes of Burnley, Hull, WBA and QPR, how have we done? We have strengthened, no doubt. But have other clubs strengthened more?
Strokes Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I don't know, I have paid no attention to it, give me a list you lazy shít.
funkyrobot Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Palace have signed a player they already had who barely starts a game (Zaha) so that's no big deal.
Guest Col city fan Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I don't know, I have paid no attention to it, give me a list you lazy shít. lol
ithuriel Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Well, I guess we needed strengthening more, being bottom of the league and having to hold up all those other teams requires mucho strength
Monsell1976 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 West brom probaly had the better last day of the window, 3 solid signings if I'm right. Our signing well time will tell how good our buisness was.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Its not really whether teams around us have strengthened so much as have we fixed the gaping holes in our own team that have been the downfall to our miserly 17 points so far this season, and the answer is an emphatic no. That will be our undoing, not what other teams have done in terms of business.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I think we're just about the only team to have signed quality at the bottom.
AKCJ Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 We've signed one of the most highly touted prospects in Europe, the goalkeeper with the most PL experience and someone who was the best defender at his parent club (according to their supporters) but injuries have held him back. Only utter morons will have you believe it's been a travesty of a window. We've done significantly better than all of our rivals with the possible exception of West Brom (although they've not doine anything yet with 20 minutes til the window closes.
Dan Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Who exactly have the others brought in? I think of the bottom five we've about done the most business haven't we? If we had signed Neil Taylor, for example, I'd have said we've had a good window. The problem is I've found out at this level that having just one weakness in your side will see you ruthlessly exposed and our left back options are a joke unfortunately. We aren't out of this. Don't ever under-estimate how shit some of the others manage to be. I'm not even that arsed about West Brom now. I think they'll be OK. Them, Sunderland & Palace are all sides I want to see lose but this weekend for example I'll be rooting for the Baggies.
tickler28 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Burnley have an unhinged Ings and missed out on Dorrans potentially to a Championship team QPR don't know their ass from their elbow and want to swap a loan player they've had five minutes but can't!! Hull missed out on Lennon and have just paid out compensation for a player they've just loaned out to the Florist and now the sheep shaggers and... Palace got Zaha (but he was already there) on a permanent and signed a couple of nobodies Villa....the less said the better Yeah were good

The only relegation threatened team who even look like signing somebody we could have done with in Martin Olsson.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Definitely a bit unhappy we haven't signed a left back. But otherwise the 3 we have brought in I'm very happy with.
Stevosevic Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 They've done better at picking up points than us so far

Some of the most important transfer business could be business that never actually happened. Ings' head has been turned halfway through the Anfield door. You watch his, and Burnley's, form dip now.
Buzzell Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 West brom probaly had the better last day of the window, 3 solid signings if I'm right. Our signing well time will tell how good our buisness was. Yeah they have done well. If they manage to get the Fletcher deal done then that will be a fantastic signing for them imo.

sylofox Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Not so much about who as what? Will Huth make our back four solid? By doing so has our midfield got more confidence going forward? If so Kramaric can pay dividends if not he is no better than we have. Or Kramaric will just pick up the scraps anyway and will make us money in the summer.
chapero82 Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 I would have been more confident if we had singed a quality CM but let's wait and see
Deucalion Posted 2 February 2015 Author Posted 2 February 2015 My feeling is we have done ok. I would've been happier with a new LB and CM but maybe the deals weren't there to be done. The thread is just to gauge other's opinions. The most shocking thing for me this transfer window is Bournmouth having £5 million to bid on a player !! What has happened there??

This is an important point that people fail to see. Signings in certain areas could reap rewards elsewhere. While everyone is moaning that we need creativity the management team maybe feel that the midfields attempts to protect the back for are stifling their creativity. The signing of an experienced keeper and defender could organise that defence freeing up the midfield to push on and be more creative. We'll have to wait and see.

LCFCCKEANO Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Fantastic window on a whole and done better than a few, do think we needed a new cm and a new lb really but never mind, the fact that Burnley, QPR and Hull are all still worse than us will send me to sleep happy
