Me personally, I always disliked Pearson prior to his re-appointment after leaving us for Hull. I thought the way he was treated when we went after Paulo Sousa was shocking, needless to say that went well  . I actually stopped and spoke to NP after the Birmingham home game last season and my opinion changed very quickly. You could see that his heart was in the job and that he wanted to succeed, that I still think is the case now.

Apart from what Gary Lineker has said on Twitter there is no real explanation for yesterdays farce. As far as I am concerned we should follow the team and back them to the very end.irrespective if that is with NP or without, which I think a lot of people seem to be more focused on than actually wanting to see the team turn things around. :pearson:  KEEP THE FAITH

Sorry, but that doesn't make sense: how could you dislike him for being shown the fvcking door?

Pearson joined Hull because Mandaric made it clear he didn't have a future at Leicester. What Pearson did for us in his first time round was brilliant: after a season of truly awful managers - Allen, Megson, Holloway - consigned us to the Third Division for the first time ever, Pearson put together a squad and team that took us up with record points, record wins and a massive amount of pride. What's to dislike about that? He then took us to within one dodgy penalty of Wembley at the first attempt and if Mandaric hadn't been such a cast-iron twat, he would have got us to the Premier League two years earlier.

As it was, when he came back, he spent half a season rebuilding the side, then got us to another play-off semi, then the Championship, while at the same time getting rid of a load of dead wood, bringing in new players and cutting costs. This season, we've played well without getting the breaks - mostly - but we are far from out of it. And if we do stay up, I hope all the kn0bs who were calling for Pearson to go will come on here and apologise. Yes, I know they fvcking won't.

How fickle football fans are. Whilst happily banging on about loyalty to "their" club, they are equally as happy to show no loyalty to a man who has given them, to this point, nothing but success. Two titles and a win ratio previous managers can only dream of. I would argue the percentage of good signings made is higher than any previous manager too.

Sure we are bottom, that is a fact, but are we playing that bad? The games I have seen, we have been more than a match for our opponents. I can think of a few terrible performances, but in a season you are going to have those. Pearson isn't everyone's cup of tea, but he's not here to be your personal friend. He is here to manage the team, and does that as well as any manager before him. We get rid of him, we are relegated. The only chance of surviving in the Premier League is if with stick by him. If the worst happens, at least we know he is able to get a team out of the Championship.

I do wonder sometimes what Foxes fans expect. We haven't been a Premier League team for yonks but yet fans seem to assume we have some divine right to be in the top league. The 3 teams who went up are in the bottom 4, the gulf is massive and getting bigger each season. The players are new to the league and are learning on the job. We have to keep working hard to maintain our place but if we need to go down and come back up to be then so be it. We will be better for the experience. The players are clearly behind Pearson judging by the performances and it's about time we showed a bit of gratitude and backed them to the hilt. If Pearson didn't return to us from Hull we would still be in the Championship, jizzing millions on has been managers like Sven.

and how do you know that. another manager could well of got us up we will never know. but to say that pearson is the only manager that could is a stupid comment

Here we are talking about a Football club I love, and its turned into a Pearson love-in.This is a results business totally reliant on how many points you can accumulate over a Season we at the moment are DIRE with very little sign of finding a way out of the mess we are in under this Manager, never mind what he did 1 or 2 years ago its irrelevant, there for the memories, any manager is only as good as his last game, so lets get a little bit of reality here, we are bottom of the Premier League for Christ sake not sitting pretty, wake up and smell the coffee.me I'M OLD TIME been a fan for donkeys years and I do not like what I am seeing this Season and I don't care who would be in the seat, its LEICESTER CITY not Nigel Pearson or any other just the Club.

If we go down or as someone will say when we go down, I would still prefer to have Pearson in charge to get us back up again. I'm glad we haven't thrown millions in a attempt to stay in the Premiership, I would rather go about it like we have so we will still have our club at the end. We tried to buy success before and nearly went bust. Pearson was the one put in charge to get us out of the FFP mess we were in, and he succeeded as well as getting us promoted.

I would love it if we bucked the trend and kept the manager not just for good times but also the bad.

That's your opinion, not fact.

This year, we're midtable (11th) in the form table... Villa, QPR & Hull are bottom

And a game before that we've played high-flying Spurs off the park too

This shows we are turning it around from a pretty unprecedented 13 game run

what a load of shit you have posted fact is we are bottom and have been since december also 9 points out of 59 since man utd at home that is fact not your stupid form guide

Anyone that doesn't know that names and sentences start with a capital letter is stupid!

I based it on the fact that no manager had got us promoted to the Premier League since our relegation from it. It's not like we didn't try enough of them.

No we ****ing haven't.

We should have had a penalty vs Stoke. Aside from that they only had half chances.

We beat Spurs.

We conceded an offside goal against Man Utd.

And we were clearly the better side against Palace.

Yes, we're a great side. We're only bottom after 24 games because we're so unlucky.

:appl:  :appl:  :appl:  Well said, and so true. The sad thing is they don't want to face the truth, just run away from it.

I have supported this club since 1960, and will continue to do so, but I wont support  a manager who is doing so dreadfully, with no idea as to what to do next.

You mean, apart from guiding the club to its first promotion to the Premier League in ten years? Obviously, that was all down to luck and not tactics, determination and planning.

Ho ho ho, uncle DT strikes again.

If we weren't facing the "truth", do you think Foxestalk would exist in the first place? The sheer reason we're discussing all things LCFC on here shows how much we all care.

But what is the truth, anyway? Isn't it just a sheer subjective point of view, forced upon others? The truth has many facets, hence we all exist.

I'm actually surprised you've made it through all those 55 years without a single heart attack or aneurysm.

Who is available to do a better job then? What's your grand plan to solve the situation?

How many times will this be said???

EVERYONE IS AVAILABLE, Some you have to pay for... 2m for pardew? steal.

Stop assuming if we ever got a new manager he would have to be out of work

And who do you think that manager would have been?

The truth is, we are one of the worse sides in the league with this current squad and that wouldn't change even if Mourinho was in charge. It amazes me how people think if we sack Pearson all of a sudden we'll start climbing the table. This team is lacking in quality players and that cannot be changed now so sacking him is completely pointless in my opinion.

Posted

Why is it that a large proportion of the people who want Pearson out are some of the older members of our fanbase? They've hated him right the way back from his first game, labeling him 'NFP'.and labeling anyone who supports him and the team a 'Pearsonite'.

On 'that other forum' with the 20 or so posters on there I'm amazed to read posts such as 'hope we lose 5-0 to Arsenal just so he's sacked'. Literally every post on there is negative, I just can't understand why a few people actually have so much hatred for NP? What has he done to be hated?

I'm 49 and it's time for him to move on. For the good of the club. He's a very limited manager and an oddball personality who has proved out of his depth at this level, and luckily benefited from superb backing from the board (not many other managers have that fortune). His budget was amongst the highest in the Championship last year. His team is poor: our defence is terrible (full backs get ripped apart most weeks), midfield is lacking and strike force don't score (enough).

I should have specified league matches.

Don't try an argue that we were anything but very poor and toothless against Palace, Stoke and Man Utd, because I do not have any time for people who are so stupid.

The arguing on here is ridiculous. Both sides have some valid points but at the same time both are come out with some absolute b0llocks.

1) For those who want Pearson out now, why? It was understandable in December/January, but with no respectable managers available and the transfer window closed what is the point? We might as well stick with Pearson.

2) For those saying he should stay and are arguing that we haven't played bad football, are you having a laugh? The system worked superb for the first five games but too much changing meant we went on a godawful run, some games we didn't look like having a sniff. The new year has brought an upturn but league form has dropped again and the game against Palace was crucial. Survival is a very big ask now.

My personal opinion is to stick with Pearson to the close of the season at least. Survival is not impossible and we should get behind the boys more than we ever have this season. If we give it 150% and act as if there's still hope than it might correspond to the players. If not for Pearson, do it for the lads and the Football Club. More than ever it's time to get behind them and maybe, just maybe we can pull it off.

COYF!!!

If mourinho was in charge of us with the same squad there is no way we would be bottom what a crap comparison.

Yep, that's what he said.

We must be a tiny club on a shoestring budget that cannot hope to compete in the Premier League.

We've spent 17 million on 2 players, presumably in an attempt to stay in the prem.
