Mark_w Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Lets say he gets us promoted again....what then? I've answered this question several thousand times. I'd give him a second chance.
foxfanazer Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 You know, this actually about sums it up. What do we have to lose really? Can it be much worse really? We are poor on the pitch ((just look at the stats) and Nigel, whatever motives he has, is making himself look silly off it. Can it be much worse or are people resigned to relgation and hope Pearson takes us straight back up again. Has it really come to that? Genuine question? Not replied to my other posts to you so not expecting you to here but here goes. Do you really think the owners would take the attitude of 'can it get any worse, let's get Lennon in? I really don't see him as a good move for us with or without Pearson
BlueSi13 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I see the Pearson-Outers have a new god (or are just delighted to finally have a name they can bring up). Neil Lennon Neil Lennon Neil Lennon.
tickler28 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I think he knew that Danns had single handedly ruined their chances mate. There was no stopping the onslaught after that. Personally, I'd have taken Danns to one side after the game, and given him a good proverbial kicking. What a complete tit. I want to know which idiots on this forum think the Thais will be stupid enough to give Pearson another crack at the PL even if we did get promoted....which leads me to the next question....what's his incentive apart from money....which leads me to my next question...does Pearson see a long term future for himself at LCFC?
Brooksy Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Whoever wants lennon to replace pearson can get fvcked
tickler28 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I've answered this question several thousand times. I'd give him a second chance. No way....that's fricking insane!!!
adam Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I see the Pearson-Outers have a new god (or are just delighted to finally have a name they can bring up). Neil Lennon Neil Lennon Neil Lennon. Id be delighted to have him down the City. Cant get any worse. We need to try something, whats the point in just letting the season run it course and we finish bottom with no fight.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Really? We're concerned about who would be a better replacement because there's every chance the owners could get it wrong and we'd be stuck with whoever the replacement is. I've thought for some time that Pardew and Pulis are good managers. The fact that Palace and West Brom have appointed them, does not mean that we are guaranteed to appoint a competent new manager and the reality is we are stuck with whoever they go for. You seem to think that change is automatically a good thing, and that's just so obviously not the case that I don't know how you can't see it for yourself. Was replacing Pearson with Sousa wise? Of course not. O'Neill with Taylor, again the answers pretty obvious. Sacking a manager with no plan for where you go next is never, ever a good idea, and based on the candidates odds that shot up yesterday I don't think there's anyone better than Pearson who would actually join us. You can't tell me, with a straight face, that Neil Lennon is an improvement on Nigel Pearson. He's just not. An average run with Bolton, two good cup games and doing well with Celtic when Rangers aren't around is surely not good enough for people who are complaining about my lack of ambition. You have no idea whether or not Lennon would be better than Pearson at this present time. None. In fact, it would be hard to be any worse. That's my point... Some clubs shake it up. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. But at least they've tried. The Thais seem to be settling for relegation without doing anything much about it. The club is being run like a bit of a joke at the moment Mark. From top to bottom (no pun intended), no one seems to have much of a plan. UNLESS. You believe that Pearson will keep us up. Then I get it. Personally, it's looking less and less likely. You'll probably get your wish. That we'll get relegated and keep Nige. For you, it doesn't seem to matter much, as long as Nigel stays. That's how it seems. And again, that seems a little strange if truth be told.
LexicalChoice Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Lets say he gets us promoted again....what then? Let's say youre question gets ignored, again... What then?
MC Prussian Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 No way....I'm fricking insane!!! Self-discovery is the beginning of the path to eternal bliss.

CosbehFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Norwich, Cardiff, Fulham all sacked their manager in the PL and then sacked the replacement after failing in the Championship.
BlueSi13 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Seriously, where the hell has this 'can't get any worse' come from? Are we rock-bottom of the Conference and up to our eyeballs in debt or something?
foxfanazer Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 What other posts?I called you out on this notion that everyone who supports NP is a naive kid. You might have missed it
Finnaldo Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 No way....that's fricking insane!!! A fair few said something similar after the Watford Play-off semi.
adam Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Seriously, where the hell has this 'can't get any worse' come from? Are we rock-bottom of the Conference and up to our eyeballs in debt or something? are you happy were going down? you don't seem fussed.
Corky Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 110% spot on....you can not argue with this. Sick of all the people who think Pearson can do NO wrong. He's dragging our club down.....yes he WAS good last season or was it the players that did it?? Either way the guys out of his depth and so are the players HE has placed faith in So the players got us promoted and the players are now getting relegated? So he's to blame for relegation but the players got promotion. Ok.

That's how it seems. And again, that seems a little strange if truth be told. It will deeply upset me if we go down. But I am confident that while Nigel Pearson is at the club we will be at the very worst a top Championship side. Take a gamble on a Neil Lennon just so we're seen to be having a go at changing things and I honestly don't know how low we could go. I think Nigel will learn from his mistakes like he did in the 2012/13-2013/14 transition, and I don't trust the owners to replace him well if he goes, those are the two reasons I don't want him to leave regardless.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I called you out on this notion that everyone who supports NP is a naive kid. You might have missed it Yes I did..apologies. I don't think everyone who supports Nige is a naive kid. But I do think that many that do have not had the luxury of seeing better than him at the football club.
ScouseFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 No way....that's fricking insane!!! so you're saying because he didn't get it right first time we should never give him another chance? we wouldn't be here if the first place if that was the case. he failed for one and a half seasons to promote us before finally stamping his authority on the whole squad, club and finally league and tearing it to pieces. no reason why he won't do the same again.

lestajigs Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I'd take Lennon every day of the week...although Col seeing him slump back in his seat when Danns was sent off and Liverpool equalised the other night didn't exactly fill me with optimism hes the man for a relegation battle Ain't keen on Pearson myself, but I really don't think Lennon is the answer
ScouseFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 what about this season though? have we given up? absolutely not. pearson is the best man to keep us up, and if we are unlucky enough to go down pearson is the best man to bring us back up (again). so let's sack him.
tickler28 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I trully wonder sometimes if people on this forum even care about winning football matches, playing well, staying up. So many people seem just content to keep losing matches and playing shit. I for one am just depressed with the same old bullshit week in, week out...and then people just making excuses for our limp attempt at winning football matches. I see other teams make CHANGES and some come off, some don't but at least they can say they bloody tried whilst we...like Villa just seem content on dross because its stable and safe. Its like when people drive the same old shit car until its run into the ground because its cheaper and your familiar with it. You couldn't possibly imagine getting a new car least of all one that isnt trued and tested. Carry on driving your Vauxhall Zafiras.....I fancy me a Hyundai or Toyota!!!!
