This is a results business totally reliant on how many points you can accumulate over a Season we at the moment are DIRE with very little sign of finding a way out of the mess we are in under this Manager, never mind what he did 1 or 2 years ago its irrelevant, there for the memories, any manager is only as good as his last game, so lets get a little bit of reality here, we are bottom of the Premier League for Christ sake not sitting pretty, wake up and smell the coffee. me I'M OLD TIME been a fan for donkeys years and I do not like what I am seeing this Season and I don't care who would be in the seat, its LEICESTER CITY not Nigel Pearson or any other just the Club.

Villa, QPR & Hull are bottom And a game before that we've played high-flying Spurs off the park too This shows we are turning it around from a pretty unprecedented 13 game run

Excellent post I've been watching Leicester for years as well and some of the posts on here are absolutely shocking. No one man is bigger than the club.

You amaze me. More to it than just the manager. The Summer, and our inability to complete many decent deals for decent players can be partly held responsible. Added to the fact that coming into the january transfer window we are, as you say rock bottom, then its hardly been an attractive proposition for anyone to join us. Has Pearson let himself down on a couple of occasions? Absolutely. Enough to heap all the issues upon him? For me, know. Is this team good enough for the prem? Some may say there's only so much you can polish a turd.... I guess we will see by the end of the season as to how good the team is.

Deucalion Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I'm not sure Pearson is the best man for the job anymore, I don't know if he can take us any further. The most often repeated argument for keeping Pearson is that he is the best man to win us promotion should we be relegated. In other words, if the club go backwards, he will be good at his job again. But...while he is still our manager I still support him, and I would be delighted to be proven wrong.

The extent of the support from some posters is what surprises me. And I genuinely believe it has more to do with the man than the manager. Just for the record I wouldn't sack him now, but I'm disappointed with the results of course but also his conduct. I've started to go off the bloke. And some of the posts that are along the lines of "yeaah knock him out Nige you legend" are a bit cringey.

No need for the love in with the fella but at the same time, until there is an alternative who would do better, no point in calling for his head. as soon as one appears, he'll be gone anyway.

With Pearson, you know what you get, he may make strange selection choices, odd formations and weird substitutions. he is learning as is most of the team, if we did loose Pearson, we would be back at a manager merry-go-round 5 managers a season, no thank you. There is no one (I personally believe) that would do a better job. you may say we havent signed so and so, or we should have paid Defoe what he wanted, imagine that we did for instance pay him his 70 - 80k a week and we still dont stay up, well then we waste a hell of a lot of money and we go down much worse off. yes football is a results driven business, as is every business. But clubs like Leicester need to be sustainable, if we got another clown like Peter Taylor or Sven in, who spunk off another 20 - 30 million on idiots that have no interest in playing for us at all, then we go bust again, simple as that. We all love Leicester, I would rather us be relegated and have the option to try again with a bit more experience, than to wait another 10 years and go into the verge of bankruptcy again, next time we might be so lucky.

I agree he has made mistakes this season, but until you or anyone can give me a solid argument to why we should sack him at this stage of the season then I will simply put you down as yet another fan that can not back up his argument.

However, i will say this: his management this season has mostly ranged from mediocre to completely appaling, and his conduct as a person at times considering his position is embarrasing.
