hackneyfox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 The club are no longer talking to The Fox fanzine and it's been very balanced in its views.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I was there last night but right over the side by the Arsenal fans behind the goal so didn't hear the Lineker chants. I had intended to sing the same myself if the One Nigel Pearson chant started. I saw it as a way of making my feelings known about NFP without being in overly provocative to the Pearsonites. I was the opposite side to you (right side of our end) and there were a group to my left who whenever any pro-Pearson chants started they started singing "Oh Gary, Gary". I sang "one Nigel Pearson" and so did my old man. Group of about 4 older men in front turned round with disapproving looks and questioned us about it. When we explained that we were singing it to support the manager that the team we were watching were clearly playing for and the best manager we've had in the last 15 years, they said that he should have been sacked for the McArthur incident and the way he was with the press and that they "wouldn't go to the extent" of singing his name.

WardyisPukka Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Pathetic all of this - some of you need to stop taking all these tweets/snipes so seriously and let go of local pride/Lineker is a lcfc legend for once as theres more at stake here than whether lineker is a legend blah blah blahhh - so feckin boring
steveherbe Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 So now Gobby Logan joins in on motd wednesday, "Lineker, Shearer and Dublin are the 3 fountains of knowledge for sundays game". Butt out you stupid bint, and get back in the kitchen where you belong.
Jimothy Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 So now Gobby Roslin joins in on motd wednesday, "Lineker, Shearer and Dublin are the 3 fountains of knowledge for sundays game". Butt out you stupid bint, and get back in the kitchen where you belong. Calm down, Lineker would have made exactly the same joke, he's made similar in the past. And it's Gabby Logan, if you're going insult someone, know who you're insulting.
Guest Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I tend to agree with the majority and it may well show my age. GL along with others put their own money in to help the club when we needed it most, and has never hidden his support for the club which I think is fantastic. Unfortunately we have a current manager who I doubt would put his own money into our club and appears to argue with anyone and everyone if they dare to disagree with hum . lets look at the facts. NP is not talking to Radio Leicester for daring to question continual changes. Told fans to ....we all know what Grabbed Mcarthy by throat and not let him return to the pitch Blames the media for blowing this up Gets involved in a row with GL None of the above is untrue and makes him look like an arrogant fool when as we after last night stare relegation in the face, with the 2 teams who finished way below us last season still have a chance... who is to blame Nigel Pearson.... end of None of the above is untrue. Except the parts which are clearly untrue and ill informed

And it's Gabby Logan, if you're going insult someone, know who you're insulting. Nearly called her Gabby Yorath! Only a tease, calm down, women in football, I ask you.......You are obviously as bored as I am waiting for our game to come on.
Buzzell Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Absolutely milking the fountain joke now. Wonder how many times Lineker will mention it on Sunday?
Jimothy Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Nearly called her Gabby Yorath! Only a tease, calm down, women in football, I ask you....... You are obviously as bored as I am waiting for our game to come on. Why are they showing extended highlights of all tonight's games. The Chelsea game was shite.
Corky Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Be interesting to hear Shearer's views. I bet he totally disapproves of over the top antics against an opponent and somehow getting away with it.
steveherbe Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Why are they showing extended highlights of all tonight's games. The Chelsea game was shite. Sod it, recording the rest, watch it tomorrow.......
MattGamble92 Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 I'll always appreciate how Lineker saved us. And I love the man. But let's not kid ourselves he's our biggest super fan or anything. I've seen tweets off him where he's come out the cinema and checked our result after. He's come across as a complete twat with this issue and if he'd followed us properly before we got to the prem (which I doubt because he's from the pundit land of not watching lower league football) then he would show so much more respect for Nigel.
GingerrrFox Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 I don't get why people think Gary has a massive love in for Leicester, if anyone has ever met him you will know that he is also a very keen Spurs fan.
Bayfox Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Reckon nfp will do the live interview with Gary tomorrow? if so on a scale on 1 to 100 how awkward is it gonna be?
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Nah it'll be some bint like Gabby Logan or Jacqui Oatley. Nige will probably bang her afterwards. What a man.
st albans fox Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Nah it'll be some bint like Gabby Logan or Jacqui Oatley. Nige will probably bang her afterwards. What a man. although only a winger in his playing days, i imagine gabby's fella is quite hard. could be a good scrap to follow !
shade Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 although only a winger in his playing days, i imagine gabby's fella is quite hard. could be a good scrap to follow ! only time he's hard is when he's watching nige stick one on his missus.
StanSP Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Reckon nfp will do the live interview with Gary tomorrow? if so on a scale on 1 to 100 how awkward is it gonna be? No. It's scheduled a couple of weeks before usually so there would have been more press about it.
Bayfox Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 No. It's scheduled a couple of weeks before usually so there would have been more press about it. thought the beeb had been doing live interviews where possible when they do a live game. normally with the winning gaffer at least. dan walker brought it up on twitter.
Chrysalis Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Lineker comes across terribly on Twitter. Arrogant and snidey. Doesnt take away what he did here as a player, and what he did for us at our lowest point. Its perfectly ok to have an opinion on both matters as separate. Surely tts the club's duty to tell us the truth, linekar took care of it.
Tuna Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 How long until Gary mentions the fountains of knowledge? I'm going for 8 seconds. Bet Shearer is in the studio, can't stand the bald headed geordie cnut.
Eddy Kellys Heroes Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Gary's Leicester through and through and put his money where his mouth is, he's allowed his opinion and I for one value it! Let's make the most of freedom of speech while it's still legal!
