Bagworthblue Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Just trying to read between the lines. He's said he wasn't sacked but reports were he'd said his goodbyes to everyone, which i would think is where the tip offs to the media came from. If the manager's said goodbye to you, i guess it doesn't really matter if you ring someone up to pass on the info. But by handing your resignation in, you actually force the hand of your boss, it's either a vote of confidence by asking you to stay or a bye bye, either way you know where you stand and what your future is. And if they accept it, you leave without compensation! I'd rather risk not knowing and wait to be released and have the rest of my contract paid up
Pen 3 Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I see Villa have sacked Lambert, oh no they haven't, oh yes they have,.... probably having dinner right now with their owners, oh no, he isn't....
yorkie1999 Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 And if they accept it, you leave without compensation! I'd rather risk not knowing and wait to be released and have the rest of my contract paid up True, unless he's got some sort of magical contract release that TR signed off.
Bramhall Fox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Number 6 - great article. Thanks for posting. Could have written that myself - excellent.
Burbage Fox Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 decent article and despite my opinion that NP has made too many mistakes and maybe reached his level, I thought our performance last night was excellent, we just need to stop stupid errors that cost, so maybe dropping Wes who makes too many mistakes and Huth looked very good. Maybe we can get out of this... just maybe but we are going to have to put a run together... starting at AV on Sunday in the cup and then Everton on Sky... come on
shailen Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I like the Pearson who tries to play 'mind games'.
HoustonFox Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 It makes me laugh. Any media article that is kind to Pearson, is always brilliant, and those that aren't are labelled as rubbish. Blue tinted specs, or what? Mostly because the ones which show him in a good light *tend* to be better researched, better written and take into account more than just the surface level detail. Articles which show him negatively this season have so far consistently failed to be based on anything more substantial than our position (neglecting performances) and the few incidents which - while negative - have either been blown out of proportion or have had countless assumptions made about them with little concrete evidence. Thanks Xen, great post. No need for me to respond to DT's baiting now.
Merging Cultures Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 We weren't in the news yesterday, hardly in it on Tuesday except since nice comments from Walcott. Safe to say we can close this thread.
David Hankey Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 Mr Pearson may think the Club don't want to sack him but he's kidding himself if he thinks that day will not come. We simply cannot carry on in this fashion with relegation looming the slide has to be arrested at some point. He has proved himself not up to the task so far this season and it is hard to envisage any improvement. The simple fact is that we need to go on an unbeaten run and with games running out that isn't going to happen. Time for change is upon us!!
MC Prussian Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 The club may be moving together but it is certainly not moving forward. So, in the past three to four years, we haven't moved forward at all. M'kay.
justfoxes Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 Let's hope PEARSON can actually see calamity MORGAN is far too complacent as he feels he's undroppable from the squad,we need was in with Huth that would be pretty solid defensively !! But let's hope our luck is turning and we get a win Sunday at Villa and springboard our performances and get back to winning ways,it was great to see the young lad Kramaric get his first goal in theEPL let's hope that is the first of many for him in a city shirt !!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 Thanks Xen, great post. No need for me to respond to DT's baiting now. "Baiting" I don't think so, oh blinkered one.
bovril Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 I thought this was quite amusing from BR, 'North Korean Slogans for NFP'. I realise there are a few on here who would consider it sacrilege. http://fansonline.net/leicestercity/mb/view.php?id=792867
Master Fox Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 It's an absolute abomination we're bottom of the league. Nige has to turn this around. Makes me so angry we haven't properly competed in the league since 2000. 15 fecking years. Half the clubs aren't anywhere near as big or well backed financially as we are. Tragic really.
sylofox Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 I think it is time our owners made a statement about all of this something like, "We do not intend to sack Nigel Pearson we bought him in with a job to do. We do feel he is the right man for this club. So can all the rumour mongers and fans baying for Nigels blood please fvck off and die" TOP

cullenfox Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 Really hope they don't. I definitely don't want him sacked.
Sir Fynwy Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 Really hope they don't. I definitely don't want him sacked. I really don't think he'll still be the manager after the end of the season, far too much shit has gone on. If we stay up and go further in the FA cup than we've gone for years it'd be strange to sack him but the atmosphere is toxic.
sylofox Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 Really hope they don't. I definitely don't want him sacked. Can they sack him now if there is any truth that they tried to on Sunday. Yes my they need to make a statement is a joke. But I do feel they should make one and feel they should keep us a little more informed than they do. We never seem to get anything from our owners like we have in the past. Praps why so much shite is made up on here.
ADK Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 I think he'll quite possibly choose to leave if we go down, not sure about if we stay up though.
Sir Fynwy Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 I think he'll quite possibly choose to leave if we go down, not sure about if we stay up though. Nigel will have plenty of offers from championship teams on the up when he leaves because of his proven ability to produce top 6 finishes. If I was him I'd be daring the club to sack me so I could pocket the cash and move away from the morons.
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 The whole thing was barmy and embarassing. If this is a way a club is run....
dedlock Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 Excellent piece on Pearson and this whole saga here:http://www.espnfc.com/club/leicester-city/375/blog/post/2291828/leicester-are-in-good-hands-so-long-as-nigel-pearson-keeps-his-to-himself How does this stack up with the performance at the emirates?

THIS And we have owners with financial clout. No other club springs to mind who under these circumstances (best team in Championship by a mile & and with the money to back that up, to account for the obvious step up in class that is the PL ) who has so royally cocked things up. Scandalous mismanagement from a guy who did so well last year. I'm both baffled and frustrated in equal measure.
