How bad? This bad. Where would Leicester be in previous seasons?

The image below shows where teams would rank in every pervious Premier League season based on their 2014/15 points. We'd be dead last in 17 previous seasons and 19th in the other two

Not really surprising.

I assume we've got less points at this stage than we had under Taylor/Bassett?

Same. We had 17 points for a while.

Is anyone surprised?

This season has been epitomised by two things:

A gross underestimation of the Prem League

A big over-inflation of the ability of our so-called 'best players'

It's been a shocking season.

cue mc prussian to pipe up  with something along the lines that  you can  say anything with  statistics and that we're actually doing really well.

That season was the last season of our 6 year stay in the Prem so it was not about underestimating the league. We had a dire team. Just checked out the results. We got hit for 3 or more goals 7 times in the league plus got battered 6-0 at home to Leeds in the League Cup. Really think this season's team is potentially much better.

Not really surprising news is it to be honest, we're no different to any side that's finished in the bottom three over the recent years, these facts and figures just make is even more depressing than it actually is.

It's not really a surprise that a team at the bottom of the league would probably be on the bottom of the league with the same points in years gone by. I'll go as far as to say a team on 17 points at this stage next season will probably be bottom as well.

Apart from demonstrating that we're bottom of the league, which I'm sure we all already knew, I can really see the point of this thread.

Look at the numbers for those teams above us.

I've looked, what am I supposed to have seen?

This is the 20th season for the Prem, there's only ever been 2 sides worse than us

In nearly half of all Prem seasons Sunderland would be bottom 3, yet here they sit 7 points clear of us and in 15th.

So you're saying we're not doing very well? Thanks for the heads up, who knew?

This is an impressively pointless thread. I thought we were having a terrific season until I read that.

Not only are we not 'doing very well', we're doing worse than almost every single side in the history of the league.

I can see that. Just can't understand this mindset where people are determined to squeeze every last drop of misery out of what has been an awful season. I'm not saying we should be happy about it but how many threads illustrating the shitness of this season do we need? Yes, we are a shower right now but for ****s sake, some of those comparisons are a total waste of time.

It really does feel like some people are reveling in all this. Guess it makes them feel like every misplaced pass they've booed in the past five-odd years was all totally worth it.
