ousefox Posted 9 March 2015 Posted 9 March 2015 Liverpool and Newcastle were absolutely silent. Barely a chant throughout
Dan Posted 9 March 2015 Posted 9 March 2015 Places like Newcastle and West Ham surprised me. I know places like OT and the Emirates are quite touristy but the former two have got a reputation for having passionate support and both were absolute rubbish. Newcastle was unbelievable.
Guest Posted 9 March 2015 Posted 9 March 2015 Palace were top notch at their place. Noise a plenty. Most of the others were quiet.. Swans made a little noise at times (certainly more than we did). Newcastle were second bottom in the league I think and desperate for Pardew out. Think they are massively overrated as fans but bit of an asterisk for that day.

They were but considering the hype their fans have had over the years ("best fans in the land") you'd expect a lot better. Swansea are very under-rated. Sing a lot of samey shite but hymns and arias at the start is spine tingling.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 March 2015 Posted 9 March 2015 Genuinely can't remember a home or away game where opposition were loud.
ousefox Posted 9 March 2015 Posted 9 March 2015 When I used to go to Sunderland often a couple of years ago, it was always fairly impressive. Loads standing. Think the stewards have tried to stop this now but I guess we'll see when we go up there.
phg Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 QPR's home support was atrocious bar one man with a sombrero and maracas. 'Arry's financial adviser?
phg Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 Stoke at home are said to have the loudest decibel count in the country. Don't ask me why, why, why..
Ashley Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 Leeds & United have the best away ends. Singing we are the champions champions of Europe for 20 minutes does not count as a good away end. Man United were shit at our place too
Hollism Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 If you didn't go to Liverpool, you wouldn't believe the silence. Man United were shocking too, but at least there were about 1,500 (out of 75,000 I know) that made some noise. The atmosphere at Anfield was absolutely unforgivable for any club in the top 3 divisions, never mind a team who are fighting to keep a European spot.
Foxfromburbage Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 Everton were very quiet except for a certain girl on the front row behind the goal
C-man Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 Palace by far the best, obviously. Everton (given I didn't make it to Liverpool or Newcastle) the worst for me. Actually pity people having to go watch football in that silence. If our ground was like that I would never go again.
LCFC FOX Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 Palace were best home fans and best away fans so far. Away fans wise Man city and United were okay, burnley, Stoke and west Brom were good in periods. Mainly when they went ahead. The absolutely shocking. Palace, Swansea, United are the top 3 home supports so far
J.Lisemore Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 If Safe Standing is eventually introduced, we might actually see the atmosphere return to grounds. For now, its almost dead. There's too many people that are resigned to it being great back then, but things being different now.
kingcarr21 Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 Newcastle away in the league and spurs away in FA cup the home fans were really poor. Pardew was still manager at Newcastle so fans didnt make much noise as they had had enough and just wanted him gone. At home i would say Burnley fans were in great voice.
Ollie93 Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 Liverpool away, New years day. Anfield was silent. As for teams visiting us, I remember Man City being loud
AndWhat? Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 Everton were terrible. What a wasted ground. Can't hear any away fans from SK1 as we're too busy singing!
Crazy Kop Corner Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 Worst - Newcastle or Arsenal - Didn't hear a spueak from either Best - Crystal Palace but even then only after they'd scored.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 I dislike crowds that sing. Much rather concentrate on the game.
Voll Blau Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 I dislike crowds that sing. Much rather concentrate on the game. Yeah, coz you can't do both at the same time...
Soup Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 I dislike crowds that sing. Much rather concentrate on the game. There's a shock.
Brooksy Posted 10 March 2015 Posted 10 March 2015 I dislike crowds that sing. Much rather concentrate on the game. Ex-copper in disliking football crowds shocker
