Kakuna?! That should take you about 3 seconds. Weedles are everywhere!

Ahh. Yeah, I couldn't find any of them either until recently when a Kabuto nest appeared not far from my flat. Went from 6 to 50 candies in under an hour.

Same here. Finding myself out and about walking again now. 

 

Managed to evolve my Venosaur and I'm close to a Charizard now. 

 

Hatched a 10km egg which contained Aerodactyl which was a bonus.

Yeah it got shit pretty fast.  Sun & moon on the other hand... I've finished the main storyline so I'm into post game now and I'm spending hours save scumming legendaries (where reasonable anyway - screw sitting through ages of cut-scenes and credits 50 times to find the perfect Tapu Coco) to get competitive mon.  Got that steel-fairy QR code one whose name escapes me with boosted spdef and lowered attack and now I'm sat at the psychic tapu's shrine.  Got to get the ultra beasts too in that secret agent mission, post-game on this generation is shaping up decent.

Thank **** for the next gen. I'd only got about 9 left and was getting bored of slogging away to get 0.3km of a Dratini candy every day on my commute.Now i can start catching stuff again.
