Carrying on through the islands. My team are now all level 100. I caught the electric legendary on top of the lighthouse so he has replaced Ribbizap.

Ive lost my lucky egg? I lost it in a battle and its gone forever. Not that it matters now they are lvl 100.

Not sure how to progress the story. I went to the 3rd island and nothing much happened. Now im at the last island and just ploughing through, just hope something comes up otherwise ill have to back track.

Hanginy in the burial tower spawn with Lucky Eggs sometimes. Also the daycare just above Beehive, if you go outside the building and all the way back to the left of it and then walk 'through' the building there's an egg in the back of the daycare garden

Managed to progress the story now. Done the 5 gym leaders on the Ebin islands and now I am back at Mt Clover. @Jaspa is this still stuff you did on the previous play through or is this all new?

I am now finding items that earlier in the game people were requesting and I was like wtf, no not got that. (Porn and a jar of pee). Cant remember where the people who asked for them are though lol

Ive also got all HMs now. Love the fact you can remove and relearn HMs. I want to carry on but work is in the way lol

Did you guys know that in the safari zone you can trigger encounters by changing your facing without losing any steps?  Trying to bag myself a couple of susupseudolegendaries.

Had enough bank from Chomps to just keep going in anyway. What you after, Spookzilla? I'd suggest adamant.

Also I hope your foe is Keksandra and not Viol, way easier having the latter.

All new post battle channel mate. I've slowed down playing abit tbh, put myself in abit of a trap shuffling my team about constantly. I badly need a fighting type but don't want to carry two fire types, so Farfigtron has been dropped. Also dropped Tripsius for Galavire and still training him up.

So my team is: Smoxilon, Spookzilla, Fireshitre, Oreon, Semdemen, Galavire. Need a fighter in there to do League really, would have to drop one of Semdemen or Smox, losing surf/wings in process. Looking at adding Davyjaws or Honrade - any suggestions?

Honrade always seems to give me problems when I battle against him. Do you need a Fighting type or can you get away with a fighting move?

Strength is in Victory Road and its classed as a fighting move. My monster prawn dude ha been an ever present in my team and was the first to lvl 100. Strength ruins people.

Both tbh, looking at Hulkan and Mantrake as potential adds too. Already beaten the rival, Keksandra, like you say it wasn't a big deal.

I've swapped Chanolour for Marleyzard.  A couple of tokes then alternating between giga drain or flamethrower is plenty enough to sweep most trainers, but Galavire's the one who's been really coming in clutch during the tougher encounters.  I would never have got past the Mexican dude with his 6 steel/ground types without it, their movesets made my other mons look silly, 1&2hko's as far as the eye could see.

:sweating: I found her Flowre to be a huge turd to flush; sleep powder, substitute, leech seed with an Eviolite? Nightmare. Even if you Thief or Knock Off that item you're asleep and behind her proxy while getting bled out.

Galavire's just hit 50 for me, took it down the Futaba Chambers for easy +spa, just 20 levels to go. Terravolt as hidden ability.

Carlito is one who can really wall players if they haven't got the right teams by that point, the usual n00b answer is to pick up a Wonderguard Sprucifix from around Burial Tower because that alone can demolish him.

Honrade was on the periphery but have gone with Langkong, who goes normal/fighting with 600 basestats & Jolly nature. Think Honrade would be really good with sash or choice scarf, just wish it was abit quicker and I already have a decent fairy type.

lol That prawn packs a punch, I've never used it but seen it in endgame teams often.

Has anyone been sad enough to start using Wondertrade? Get some bizzare Mons in there. Got a pudding Pokémon and then a hot dog, fire type lol Looks ridiculous

Well I think I have finished it. Ive done the main story. There are some side quests to finish but im not bothered about that, also catch all legendaries but again cant be arsed.

Ive checked online and Reddit suggests there isn't much left for me to do. A decent well made Rom hack. I enjoyed it. Now need to find the next one to try. Ive played a lot of them so need a new challenge.

Thanks for the recommendation @Jaspa

Oh right, I'm pretty sure I just one shot it with Galavire's thunderbolt. lol Her Memenace and Tripsius were the ones that gave me problems.

Kanye was much more tricky for me, it took me a few deaths before I figured out the best approach with my team to avoid being walled out by Ebolable or Smoxilon.  Still rummaging around the safari zone last I left it.

Mental, that Flowre is a nightmare, Rock/Dark with no x2 weaknesses, eviolite to boost Def/Sde. Semdemen really came in handy against Kanye because of immunity as an ability.

Here's the gang, just training up to do E4 at last. Using the Islands to train up mainly

For me Attract is a must. That got me through so many battles.

I need decent movesets for my newer Mons tbh. Could possibly put attract on my biscuitmon as its fairy.

Dong(physical) Normal/Fighting - Body Slam, Mack Punch, Fly, Teeter Dance

Shitre(special) Fire/Poison - Sunny Day, Toxic, Sludge Bomb, Flamethrower

Galavire(special) Steel/Electric - Thunderbolt, Disable, Iron Defence, Flash Cannon

Playing a new Rom hack with Pokémon sword/shield pokemon included, file is called Indian Ruby hack. The pokemon you can catch at the beginning is mental.

The map looks different to Pokémon Ruby but the NPCs are in the same place with the same dialogue. So not really sure if the story will be different.

Took Grookey as my starter, will let you know if its any good

Did the League with ease on Tuesday night, the team I built really came together well - Oreon MVP, Semdemen again like glue helping keep it together and Galavire & Fireshitre really coming into their own, Funnedong useful early on and used Spookzilla the least but obviously wrecked whatever it had to when it did.

Now scuttling around the new Islands, it's not really clicking with me the same way the original area was but I'm just exploring at the moment, done the first gym again Galavire having to watch out for fire but dominating the whole gym, getting to the leader probably being the hardest part.

I'll probably do all there is to on this, get anoth dream team trained and set up and leave it for any future updates :)

I have serious ADD with games at the moment so I've barely touched this the last few days.  Instead I've carried on with FM a bit, started a Fire Emblem 3 Houses campaign and made most of the way through Mega Man 11 on Switch before losing all my progress in that one because I didn't realise there's no auto save and until that point I'd been maintaining my progress by taking the console in and out of sleep mode whenever I stopped to do other things.  Grrrr.

Anyway I've jumped back on Clover for a bit now.  Got the 2 Pseudos I was after and trained them up a bit then travelled to the island where I got to revive my horn fossil at long last.  It was totally worth the wait, an adamant (+atk -spatk) Tricillion with Rock Head, Iron Defense and Double-Edge is a hilariously OP combo against a lot of mons.

The gym on the island was easier for my team than Kanye but he did catch me off guard with Pyralink's Earthquake and Thunderbolt against Condoom then Deathorus the first time around, Spookzilla & Bonemerang solved it the 2nd time.  Then we surfed on towards the starting town and found the ship, defeat all Team Karma people on board until the game strongly hinted that we needed to move on to progress the story, carried on towards the final gym until the game strongly hinted that we still needed to do something on the boat so we went back to it, got the same message that made it seem we needed to do something else first, carried on exploring for a while, couldn't find anything, went back to the boat for a 3rd time out of desperation and finally realised you have to spam the lady with messages to trigger a battle.  By comparison to the journey, the battle was over very quickly, I literally couldn't tell you which pokemon she used.

Now I'm at the final gym leader and after about 6 or 7 attempts I think I'm finally at a point where the mons I have and the changes I can make to their move sets aren't quite enough to get over the next hurdle.  I'm going to look into getting myself a Semdemen who I expect to easily handle all but 2 of his team (Mother**** & Galavire, but I can use my own Galavire and Marleyzard to combat those two respectively) and do a bit of EV training on my other regular mons because it's still really only the Condoom and Galavire who have been done more or less correctly, then we'll see where we stand.

In other news I'd been having 2nd thoughts about the trick room team because you usually lose 2 turns to set it up in a singles battle if you want the intended sweeper to be carrying a choice band.  Not to mention currently the only mon I can use to set it up (Dowster) doesn't necessarily slot into the team anymore.  My recently acquired Tricillion can learn it himself though in which case I just need to figure out a good move set and forgo giving it a choice band when/if I find one. I'm thinking: Trick Room, Roar, Double-Edge, Iron Head (currently has Iron Head, Iron Defense, Double-Edge, Head Smash).  Plus with Marleyzard, Vaultevour and soon Cannonance all extremely slow pokemon available for selection I technically have room for a lot of move options if I can get it setup through either Tricillion or Dowster or indeed A.N.Other any thoughts?

Other any thoughts?

Kymmi's only real challenge was her Sadfish, everything else was as you said. I quite enjoyed the little puzzles, they're not impossible but still take a few minutes to get done.

For your team I'd agree and say Dowster is obsolete, you have Spookzilla lol That thing is a monster; bone zone, bone rush, shadow bone, spook out and glare and you could easily accommodate another dark/fairy - I'd heavily recommended Oreon and would say you're steel heavy too but it's your choice being heavy metal. I gave up on Cannonance, just to slow but where I am in the game now there is a place where you can breed and then grindup levels & EVs - literally called Grindhaus - so would say get your team set and leveled up for League, go to the top of the map and get over to the new Islands before you start training up a whole team because it's better time spent later. If you've beaten all the gnomes you get a Destiny Knot here and can buy a 5iv Blobbo if you haven't got a Casanova from Wondertrade yet.

Darude is tough but can be done, Semdemen helps any team and they're gonna nerf it in the next patch. There are several tanks you could add to your team other than Sem, Unjoy is alright, Premantom is used quite alot in the community, Oboronyxo might be difficult to acquire but could come in use for you. I'd be more concerned about the battle straight after Darude . . .

Which Pokemon to get for the Switch then..

Between Sword and Shield? Pretty much the only differences are the version exclusive pokemon

I personally went for Shield, had to get my boy Tyranitar

Anyone purchased the DLC yet?

Completed all the gyms, done the challenge champion and won etc now building rank in the battle tower.

Yeah I have bought it and finished it, pretty fun, lots more areas to explore and I think there is 140 new pokemon to find, it is essentially a new big wild area to explore with different environments; beach, desert, mountain, forest

The 2nd part of it is meant to come out in Fall 2020
