bald reynard Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Bentleys is reporting a rumour from 'an insider', that Cambiasso & Phillips have been lined up to take temporary charge, WHEN Nige 'loses the plot' and we get near the 'drop door'. I await the inevitable barrage of abuse from the 'Pearsonites', saying that it won't happen and Nige will either keep us up (?!), or be staying 'for another go' in the Championship next season !
TOMBlcfc Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 There's no way pearson would be sacked between now and the end of the season, it's too late
cc_star Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Was mentioned when he was sacked/not sacked Looking at Philips impact as our striker's coach/mentor and how ill composed/wasteful/badly prepared they are when in good positions... I wouldn't want him anywhere near managerial duties. They've had so many opportunities to sack him & not done so, I don't know why people can't get their heads around that and just get on with helping produce an atmosphere that could aid, not hinder the players.

Jaspa Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Bentleys; the bastion of facts and knowledge I wont wait until Nige loses it, F off

Poor summer window, not enough in the January window, not knowing his best formation for long periods of the season, infective at of ends of the pitch, and poor and naive tactically, he doesn't deserve to keep his job. Give them two a go, can't do any harm, whilst they can take their time getting in a new manager in for the summer.

Does Cambiasso have any qualifications to be able to be to within the rules of the game? "Can't do any harm"? Looking at the actual outcomes during Philip's time as our forward's coach... I think it could do a lot of harm

Why even bother with your last sentence? How is people saying it won't happen and not believing the rumour in any way 'abusive'?
AyewJoking Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 I've often wondered why Cambiasso doesnt tell NP how the team should play. Is Camby content with playing and doesnt want to undermine sir Nige? As for KP, hes probably still a better player than he is a coach.
Guest MattP Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Virtually every single rumour that has ever came out of Bentley's Roof has been proven to be complete bollocks - what was the last one? Hackney Fox posted it on here and it was so ridiculous it had me in tears. Why on earth would someone believe anything that comes out the place?
lgfualol Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Has Cambiasso said something that indicates he wants to go into coaching soon? I always thought he'd go back to Argentina or MLS or something.

As for KP, hes probably still a better player than he is a coach Esteban probably 'advises' them given the experience he has, you always see him gesticulating and talking closely to teammates so you'd think hes abit of a General. He seems a very clever bloke but Ive never sat down with him so I dont know to be sure The rest of that post is guesswork
The Railway Man Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Is this another ridiculous assumption from people that great player = great manager again? If we go do down, we need a manager who knows the Championship, certainly not Esteban Cambiasso.

What on earth is the point of this toolish part?
MooseBreath Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 The good player automatically and immediately becoming a good manager idea always makes me feel a bit queasy. Add to that the tag-team approach to management and I'm sorry but I'm vomiting down your blouse good sir.
Babylon Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 God that forum has gone massively downhill. When was it ever uphill? That place gets more stuff wrong than... than... than... a very wrong thing. What on earth is the point of this toolish part? He reads Bentley's Roof... you're expecting?
Corky Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 At least we'd have the baldest management team around.
Itsthejoeker Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 When was it ever uphill? That place gets more stuff wrong than... than... than... a very wrong thing. Good point.
sylofox Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 This is a real shocker. If the management team is sacker 2 experienced pro's to be put in caretaker charge till the end of the season. Who needs a contact to come up with that plot. It would be more of a shock if they did not take charge. Unless the new man is ready and waiting that is.

I think it could do a lot of harm Don't know about if cambiasso, but I should imagine Phillips has, but I don't know, but as he's a coach already, I should imagine he has the badges he needs. Why would it do any harm, if we get beat by hull, that will be the final nail in the coffin, so it would do no harm at all. The only harm would be to pearson's ego, but not bank account, and to those who he can do no wrong.
