Can I have: “He’s the greatest man on Earth but at the end of the season it will be time to at least consider other managerial options and see who else is out there who might improve us and so whilst this doesn’t necessarily mean replacing Pearson we do need to face up to the mistakes that have been made this season and ensure that they don’t happen again.” Please.

No. It is a good option though.

I love these polls, when the pearson in fans do them, they try and name and shame those that vote out, by posting all the names of people who voted out, and then proceed to call them all fickle.

I know mark w has done it in the past.

Why, no give him until Oct/Nov international break to see how he's doing at getting us back up?

It's just an in/out poll.... No "we'll see"

Went 'yes at the end of the season'. Spend some time choosing the right man (untainted by this season) between now and then, get him in place quickly and get transfers done EARLY.

I think NP'll struggle to motivate players in the Champ again-we'd be dependent on a really good start, but as soon as we lost one or two I think the doubts would set in. Thanks for the memories, second best manager of my lifetime (Pleat onwards...) but now it's time to go.

If he somehow keeps us up (unlikely) then I'd like a football person to look at his targets, investigate his plan and decide early if he's up to it. And they'd have to be pretty good if he were to stay...

End of the season. The damage this season has been done so the owners need to sound out potential replacements. The next man has to be good, we need promotion next season.

Nah. If we’re going to make a change it has to happen as early as possible in the Summer. we’ll need to give a new man the chance to bed in.

If we wait until October and then change,  we can essentially write off the whole season. So on that basis, I guess we really will have to make the change in the Summer.

i am surprised that 35 peaople have voted for option 4 utter clueless they are and must be happy with this cock up of this season. no ambition and happy with championship football

I think we're down, even if we get a new manager.

I'd like to give him the start of next season, but it all depends on the feeling at the club/how the summer pans out.

My fear is that we get rid, get a poor championship manager and do a Fulham/Wigan.

Not good enough for this level but still not heard a name I'd rather have in the Championship than him.

Well, I've voted for out at the end of the season, but your comment is garbage. We had 10 years of chopping and changing which yielded precisely zip. Sticking with Pearson got us up, so I don't see this vote as a lack of ambition. My opinion is he'd be hard pushed to repeat it, but he might. People have obviously voted to keep him on the basis he's well placed to get us up, having done so before.

Only if you make the wrong change, or if you are in an awful position. Norwich made a change in Jan and it changed their season around.

No one is happy with this season.

But if he's the best option next season you don't cut off nose to spite face and just sack him as a punishment for this one. No one wins from that.

I would have probably voted for the last one but hate is a very strong word. I've disliked his personality a lot since almost day one of his tenure with us in 2008 but I would never say I hate someone unless they've given me apt reason too.

Definitely needs to go now though for footballing reasons and unfortunately, the impression I cast on his personality in those early days has come to an ugly surface again.

I would let him get us promoted next season then sack him on the victory parade and say thanks nige but you ain't making us a laughing stock again with your pathetic team selection and formations and erratic behaviour

Hah, I missed that post originally. Very well put.

I think it's fair to say I'm back in the undecided camp. I was pretty cheesed off after Saturday's game and for the first time thought yep, now's the time to change. But I just have absolutely no idea now. Going to leave it to the men at the top (pun intended) to decide.

What is the point giving him next season. Pearson has failed and failed abysmally. I'm just amazed by so many who can't see the damage that has been done, perhaps, these folk prefer to watch second tier football.

Sack him now. Just sack him. Please sack him.

It must be something to do with the wonderful? British mentality. Almost everyone knows he has been shit as a manager this season, and shit as a person.

At a cost of about £25 per match, we have won two at home and nearly half the fans want to keep the effin great loser.

'Beam me up Scotty'

It's a bit like a dog bites it's owners hand, and the owner says ooochy coooochy coooo, it wasn't his fault and then gives the forking dog a cuddle. Bizarre.

Kind of understand this sentiment.

Those constantly talking about Pearson's Championship credentials and how he's the best man for the job if we get relegated are forgetting to take in some important points in my opinion - eg, player exits, player faith in Pearson to carry on, picking players he potentially sidelined etc, can he motivate a dejected team and get them playing again after bitter disappointment? Relegation is never easy for players to get over, and sticking with Pearson might make those matters worse unless the players really do have 100% faith in him.

There is so much more to consider than just Pearson's promotion record - until now he's been an an upward trajectory. Now he's got to deal with disappointment, humiliation etc and start building all over again both in terms of team and motivation.  The mentality of many of the players is bound to change after such a miserable season/.

I'd wager good money you voted option 6.

I've said let him go now.

I've lost interest in his demeanour and his playing style.

The club needs a real freshening up IMO.

Some new ideas, some new tactics..a shake up of the playing personnel.

I think it's futile though. He's going nowhere just yet.

I voted the top answer, not in a FOAD way but more in a 'Thanks for the memories and two promotions but its time' kind of way.
