demon_dog Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 Since the news that Cardiff are thinking of changing the club colours, just wondered how we would all feel if we were to do the same. Thoughts..............
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 I think it goes without saying that everyone here wants to keep the royal blue, I don't even like all blue kits. I'd be okay with a red and black third kit though.
purpleronnie Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 No and I would immediately start an online petition.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 Absofookinglutely not. I wouldn't be happy if there was even a different shade of blue to the proper Leicester blue (like the initial Topps Tiles shirt that was unveiled before the proper ones came out).
Leicester_Loyal Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 No and I would immediately start an online petition. The petition created by the Cardiff fans is just the first step, they WILL be doing some form of protesting. I don't know why you have to act like such a tit on these forums, maybe its the fact you can't (refuse to ) attend games anymore because its over the price of a £10er?
HEGGSY Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 No fvcking way. We are Leicester, we play in blue. Cardiff play in blue, always have. Shouldn't be changed, under any circumstances, especially for supposed financial gain.
djohawkins Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 Now, just to clarify, I wouldn't happy at all if Leicester's kit changed from blue. However, to say changing a club's kit is disgusting is a bit OTT. Don't forget that Liverpool used to play in white before Bill Shankley, and now you couldn't imagine them wearing anything other than a red home kit. Doing it for no reason would be stupid but I do see why Cardiff are considering it (Asian rep, Wales national colour etc.)

Lets get this straight I would be against a kit colour change. You have to remember though that clubs evolve all the time . . . This argument that we've always been royal blue etc . . . well, ok, but I remember being one of few that wanted us to change our name back to Leicester Fosse. You use the historical argument there and people dismissed it. You use it here and its the cornerstone of the argument. Interesting.
Big Dave Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 What would Cardiff then be known as....The Redbirds??????
Jace Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 No and I would immediately start an online petition. I've run out of plus +1 but if I could I would give you +10 for this

Jimothy Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 http://www.historica...cester_City.htm Was just about to bring up 1972-73, when I saw your post. I think I know why we changed, but I'm not saying because the thought of it just feels wrong!
1884Fox Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 What would Cardiff then be known as....The Redbirds?????? Cardiff City FC - Blue + Red = The Red Dragons
Danno Posted 9 May 2012 Posted 9 May 2012 Wouldn't be too bothered, if we changed to white or a different shade of blue, or even black. Would hate red or yellow or anything drastic
