MC Prussian Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 I thought there already was a similar thread somewhere, but couldn't find it via Search function. Anyway, I've been an in-ear headphone guy for years and only used enclosed headphones when editing. But I always missed having enough bass and a more complete sound experience. I'm not a fan of headphones that everybody else wears - Beats by Dr. Dre, for instance. Also, I cannot understand how people can fork out £££ on an iPhone or similarly expensive smart phone and use the manufacturer's poor in-ear headphones. Guys and girls with the white Apple headphones spring to mind. After a lengthy absence and with me being a Sennheiser fan, I recently discovered their new Momentum series. And after an additional search online, I found a shop that sells them for a little less than the actual high street price. I admit they look very nice and are of high quality, excellent build, very comfy with the leather parts. They fit very nicely - the ones with bigger ears will have to look for something better, though. What are your favourite headphones?
AKCJ Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 Anything but Beats. Special hatred reserved for people who wear them.
Uncle Phil Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 Anything but Beats. Special hatred reserved for people who wear them. Wicked headphones.
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 I have Sennheiser Very durable and comfy. I use a pair of HD540 Reference that I bought of some old boy at a car boot for £2 , so comfortable and sweet sounding.
Samilktray Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 There's actually very little wrong with Beats apart from being over priced. I don't know why people who don't own a pair, get so emotional over them.
Rocket-Ron Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 There's actually very little wrong with Beats apart from being over priced. I don't know why people who don't own a pair, get so emotional over them. Because we're to old to get away with wearing them. PLUS they sound shit. Audio technica at-555 & soundmagic e10 for me
goose2010 Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 I have a pair of Yurbuds ironman edition for when i'm running, love them so comfy and dont fall out at all. They actually 'lock' into your ear.
VLC86 Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Iv got a pair of Bose Quiet Comforts and love them. Great sound, really comfy on your ears compared to others I tried and the noise cancelling is pretty good too.
RobHawk Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 I got a pair of these! If you don't want to spend alot they really are the bomb! You have to wear them in a bit of a funny way but once you work this out they are really comfy and the sound is really good! http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007VEQ2UU/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Bellend Sebastian Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 I can confirm that Soundmagic E10s can survive a cycle in the washing machine with no ill effects. Don't try this at home, kids
Finnegan Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 I've been wanting some E10s for a while but I've promised myself no unnecessary spending til I'm out of my overdraft and I've been in for six months now. I'm wearing a pair of Audio Technicas currently. Very solid bass headphones. Bit plasticy but durable and great sound.
notnow john Posted 29 April 2013 Posted 29 April 2013 I use Bose ,really comfortable but disappointed with the noise cancelling, doesn't cut out screaming kids!
Saxondale Posted 19 May 2013 Posted 19 May 2013 I have Sennheiser HD205s - their lower-end product but superb for everyday use.
Fox42 Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Urbanears Plattan. Getting Pumpkin colour this week! It's collapsible and has the same features as the iPhone: has a mic so you could phone/use Siri, etc. the wire is fabric which means its harder for it to get tangled easily. Its £36+ on Amazon. Highly recommend it
Finnegan Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 E10s still the bad boys when it comes to buds? Thinking of ordering a pair shortly.
Rocket-Ron Posted 6 August 2013 Posted 6 August 2013 E10s still the bad boys when it comes to buds? Thinking of ordering a pair shortly. For the price. Oh yes
Vlad the Fox Posted 11 August 2013 Posted 11 August 2013 Skullcandy fix in for running, don't budge. I'm thinking of some e10's or over ears for my other pair.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 12 August 2013 Posted 12 August 2013 I swap between my trusty Sennheiser HD650s, and my Beyerdynamic DT880s depending on the situation.
goose2010 Posted 13 August 2013 Posted 13 August 2013 These bad boys for me, you actually forget there in your ear, amazing for running
