Players that you didn't like before they joined Leicester but now do.

Hated Huth. Remember watching Mansfield v Boro as Carl Muggleton was in goal for Mansfield and his lad played in the same team as me. Huth karate kicked Mansfields centre forward and only got booked.

Agree with Ben Thatcher too, as well as Matt Oakley.

Cambiasso. Always removed him from the squad when I played as Argentina in PES 6 because I found him really dull compared to the others. Had to make room for Crespo, Saviola, Messi, Tevez, Riquelme and Aimar in there. Now I absolutely love Esteban and his beautiful bald head

Despite the dive, I did quite like Speedie... So him being the thorn in other team's sides as he was against us is cool by me. Same with Savage

Had an irrational dislike of Ian Walker which went away when he played for us

I had serious doubts about Gerry Taggart when we signed him, how wrong I was!

A lot of us did buddy.

I seem to remember he was very unpopular is his first season here.

He played 15 games for them....

My mistake, was Fulham he spent a few years at and he was dirty as a player. I also remember him making mistakes in important games for Liverpool and West Ham when he was there.

So what's changed?

Great thread topic. Took my mind off all the nervy end of season stuff (at least for 4 minutes). Would add Tom English, a despised man for replacing the legendary Jim Melrose but all things considered Tom did okay, was like the Derek Randall of football.

Maybe we can a have thread, players we liked until they played for Leicester...Ricky Hill for one

I don't think I have hated a player that much I have changed my mind after signing.

Some I did not like got the benefit as soon as we signed them.

Dennis wise never got that from me.

I do tend to trust our managers judgement and lets be honest most of the players we have signed for years we don't really know.

David Speedie was one for me people wanted to send season tickets back (yes I hated him for what he did but would have loved it if it was for us)

But as I said if it was for us you would love it. Most Haters loved him after 6 games.

Judge a player on what he does for us not what he does for others.

This is a joke?

English was one of the worst players to play for us. Scored something like 3 goals in 40 to 50 appearances. I didn't despise him but the guy was hopeless.

Taggart was awful in his first season but won most of us round.

Speedie must score highly for the most unpopular signing but his performances helped get us to the play offs and on to Wembley when he was banned from playing for being sent off I seem to recall.

Another for me would be Bob Hazell. Wasn't keen when he signed but proved the difference between staying up and relegation in 1984.

I thought the thread was entitled 'players you didn't like'? Nothing about household names? Or names known to the bulk of City fans?

Calm down, he was just highlighting the fact that you said "most of us" didn't like Savage when he was at Crewe. When as far as I remember, most people didn't really know/care much about Sav at Crewe. If you did, fair enough.

Steffen Freund is a great shout - hated that bloke when he was at Spurs.

I don't think I liked Nuge. But on the other foot since he has left I am not keen on Matty Fryatt lol

Have to say Vardy. I was never convinced especially after his first season, but he is now one of my favourite players.

Had you even heard of him before we signed him?

Didn't say he was brilliant, just that he went from despised to okay. He still played a key role in our promotion season under Milne, one I will long remember
