Guest ttfn Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Schmeichel 6 - didn't have a great deal to do. Came a long way to punch clear a cross in the first half which was encouraging but could perhaps have done better with the second (haven't seen it back). Wasyl 6 - did fine Morgan 5 - did ok in the first half but got taken to the cleaners by Drogba in the second half. Huth 6 - was doing ok, god I hope he's ok for Saturday. Albrighton 7.5 - thought he was great first half and one of our better players in the second half. Nice finish for his goal and one or two great crosses. Konchesky 3 - rubbish. No shame in being humiliated by a £30 million winger more often than not but Konchesky never got near him which isn't good enough. Drinkwater 8 - best game of the season from him to my mind. Involved in all of our best work in the first half. Cambiasso 7 - great first half poor second. I worry about his powers of recovery for Saturday. King 6 - was doing ok Vardy 7 - full of running as ever, set up a goal. Ulloa 6 - worked hard but lacks quality. Subs: James 6 - put himself about but was part of a midfield which got overrun in the second half. De Laet 7 - some crucial interceptions and a couple of good runs. Committed too early a few times which he was fortunate to get away with. Mahrez 3 - waste of a shirt when he came on. Nigel 6 - tactically great first half but I do wonder whether we will live to regret leaving Cambiasso on for 90 minutes. Suppose it was him or Vardy though. Ref 5 - seemingly didn't give a free kick for 40 minutes despite all kinds of niggling from both sides. All well and good up to a point but I thought it went too far. Chelsea 9 - that second half performance was out of this world. Terry and Cahill are an insanely good partnership.
kingcarr21 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Kasper - 6 - Not alot to do really. Looked solid enough. Morgan - 5 - Looked good until Huth went off. Struggled 2nd half Huth - N/A - Looked good shame about the knock. Crucial he isnt missing for too long Was - 6 - Solid performance. Wish he would pick the short pass now and again. Konch - 4 - Really struggled. Was doubled up as it was a clear weakpoint. Albrighton - 7 - Delighted for him to get his goal. Looked a threat. Cambiasso - 7 - Fantastic 1st half. Got over ran 2nd half. Solid performance. His cross to Ulloa was top quality Drinkwater - 7 - Best game this season. Looked great alongside Cambiasso. Was involved in everything good we did. King - N/A - Think he wasnt 100% before the game. Hope he is back soon. James is adequate cover though so not the end of the world Vardy - 6 - Great assist but was always going to find it difficult against such a great defensive unit. Hopefully he will be ok for Saturday. Ulloa - 6 - Thought he held the ball up quite well. Got some success with it. Ultimately was easy to defend against. Kram would have come on for him if it wasnt for early subs. SUBS James - 6 - Solid enough. De Laet - 7 - Did really well when he came on. Made some great tackles. Moore at RB and De Laet at LB may have been an idea in hindsight. Mahrez - 5 - Didnt really impose himself into the game.
Foxes_Kieron Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Kasper- 6 not much to do in the first half Was- 6 Fine few mistakes here and there Wes- 5 good first half really poor second Huth- 6 the second half showed we desperately needed him Albrighton- 7 well taken finish got in the right places Konch- 3 what did he add to this game? Nothing Cambiasso- 6 THAT PASS but faded in the second hopefully he will recover for Saturday King-6 was playing well unfortunate on his 300th Drinkwater- 7 one of his best performances this season actually Ulloa- 5 some decent hold up play but had some really poor moments Vardy- 7 continues his good form with a solid performance De Laet- 7 a lot of tackles, clearances and interceptions James- 6 had a difficult game Mahrez- 4 very poor actually he is long overdue a goal and far would have preferred Kramaric to have come on
Guest Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Think Konch has some harsh marks above. He was very good going forward but not expected to be able to defend such class surely. Better than I expected from him. How King can get a 6 for 15mins play I'm not sure NA is more realistic.
narboroughblue Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Lots of 5 and 6's for me except Konchesky a 4, De Leat and Albrighton 7's.

The times second half where he was wandering aimlessly inside and both Cambiasso and James had to point out to him that Willian was being left in acres of space on his own out on the touchline was embarrasing for a professional footballer not to track his man he looked so out of his depth I felt sorry for the bloke. He deserves nothing more than a three at most and that's being kind to him. Master tactician Jose sussed this was our weak spot and exploited it. Coupled with the fact we were watched by Qpr, les Ferdinand and Newcastle's manager John Carver last night. I am sure neither of them would have missed how poor our keft side is with him at the back? Can Liam Moore or Simpson play left back?

RowlattsFox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Probably a little generous but I think I've taken the standard of opposition into account. Kasper - 6 - didn't have much to do really, I do think he made the Cahill header look harder to save than it was Was 6 - generally pretty solid Wes 6 - think he's being harshly criticised, stumbled and lost Cahill for the goal but made some important interceptions. Huth n/a Konchesky 4 - stupid yellow card pretty much made him redundant because he couldn't make a tackle after that Albrighton 8 - my MOM. Fantastic work rate and scored the goal Drinkwater 7 - started appallingly but grew pretty well into the game and shown some nice touches. Cambiasso 7 - tries the first time ball too often but when it works it's brilliant. Win the ball back excellently first half. Clearly tired. King n/a Vardy 7 - standard from Vardy Ulloa 7 - did pretty well first half but massively knackered after the hour mark James 6 - standard James really. Win the ball, lose the ball, win it back again De laet 7 - did pretty well, his pace useful in a back 3 Mahrez n/a
Dickov22 Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Kasper 6 Wasilewski 6 Defended pretty well but his distribution is poor Morgan 6 Good first half, not so great second but Drogba played well. Tough opponent Huth 6 Hope he's not out for the season but if it's a muscle strain I fear the worst Konchesky 4 Total crap. Can't bear him Albrighton 7 Another decent game, defended well too Drinkwater 7 Back to his best. Good time to find form Cambiasso 7 That pass was worth a ten alone. Love him King N/A James 6 Did fine, added a bit of muscle Vardy 6 Doesn't look 100% fit. Good assist- composed Ulloa 6 Thought he was better than recent weeks last night De Laet 7 Probably our MOTM for me Mahrez N/A Chelsea 10- They never ever give the ball away. Best team I've seen at ours this season. Pearson 10 For his hilarious post match press conference. What's wrong with him?! Loose cannon at times.

Can Liam Moore or Simpson play left back? Yet only a world class save stopped him from giving us a goal and if Cambi had put in the 3 yarder it could've been 3 - 0 to us at one stage. I saw him beaten defensively - most people are by Willian he was the best player on the pitch by a mile. But you've got to admit that going forward he had his best game for a long time. albrighton was clearly my motm from Vards and Drinky
Beliall Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 can someone point me to the chelsea post match thread please? cant find it anywhere, i recorded the game and watched it late
Ricey Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 I must have missed all this "decent hold up play" from Ulloa last night. His first touch was dreadful from start to finish. In a match where we knew we wouldn't have aerial or physical superiority and unlikely to be able to get a lot of balls into the box, I can't fathom why he started with Ulloa and not Kramaric.
Beliall Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Ulloa was a donkey last night, but he did hold the ball a couple of times, i think kram would have been muscled out of the game tbh.

Perhaps you had a bad view. He held the ball up a plenty

Don't know what game you were watching. Bar that awful first touch from the glorious Cambiasso ball, Ulloa did pretty well last night. He's not perfect, but you surely need a bit of a physical prescence up top - hence him playing ahead of Kramaric.
cc_star Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Schmeichel - 6 Was - 6 Huth - N/A Morgan - 6 Albrighton - 8 Drinkwater - 6 King - N/A Cambiasso - 5 & 0 Konchesky - 5 Vardy - 8 Ulloa - 7 James - 6 RDL - 7 Mahrez - 1 Pearson Couldn't really have done much better, team got everything spot-on, injuries proved fatal in so much as those subs were needed for Cam/Vards in 2nd half, Chelsea were world class 2nd half and would have beat anyone, as they have done all season long. Chelsea - 9
Kitchandro Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Don't know what game you were watching. Bar that awful first touch from the glorious Cambiasso ball, Ulloa did pretty well last night. He's not perfect, but you surely need a bit of a physical prescence up top - hence him playing ahead of Kramaric. He doesn't have a physical presence, he's muscled off the ball easier than most of our players, including Vardy who's half his size. He was never going to outmuscle Terry and Cahill anyway. Whatever we did was working well enough in the first half but it was bizarre to see him stay on and Kramaric, who has more quality and pace, was left on the bench.
ADK Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Schmeichel - 6 Koncheskey - 6 Wasilevski - 7 Morgan - 7 Huth - 6 King - 6 Cambiasso - 7 Drinkwater - 6 Albrighton - 7 Vardy - 7 Ulloa - 5 James - 5 De Laet - 6 Mahrez - 5 Pearson - 7 Ref - 8 Chelsea - 9
kingfox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 8 for De Laet & Albrighton Konchesky deserves a minus rating N/A for Huth & King
Guest MattP Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Pretty standard. Kasper 6 - Didn't really have much to do.Wasilewski 6 - Did his job for most of the night.Morgan 5 - Poor game by recent standards.Huth 6 - N/A really, hope he's ok for Saturday, huge player for us.Konchesky 5 - Woefully exposed at times and his booking was unforgivable given the situation it put him in.Albrighton 7 - Did very well although let down by his crossing sometimes.Drinkwater 7 - Looking like the old Drinkwater againCambiasso 7 - Ran out of gas but was very steady, hope he is ok for Sat.King 6 - N/A really.Vardy 7 - Worked so hard and gave the Chelsea defence a torrid time for periods.Ulloa 6 - Thought he did ok against a superb defenceDe Laet 8 - thought he did very well given the position he was put into James 7 - chance for him to excel on Saturday
Leicesterpool Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Most of the team got a 6 from me, they all put a lot of effort in but could't handle Chelsea in the second half. Man of the match was Mark Albrighton a 7, worst Paul Konchesky got a 4 just not premier league quality anymore.
theessexfox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Kasper - 6 Wasilewski - 7 Huth - N/A Morgan - 6 Albrighton - 6 - Scored but offered little King - N/A Cambiasso - 6 - Usual magic but couldn't control the game Drinkwater - 6 Konchesky - 5 Vardy - 6 - Gave them trouble at times but was dealt with well second half Ulloa - 5 - Limited impact De Laet - 9 - Immense James- 5 - Struggled to impose himself Mahrez - 5 - Limited time Ratings sound scathing but that's because we were against the best players in the league, I'm proud of how we fought and gave them a game on the whole.
Harry - LCFC Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 7s mostly. The first half was one of the best performances of the season IMO. I think people are harshly underrating the team for fading late on in very tough circumstances.
taffyfox Posted 30 April 2015 Posted 30 April 2015 Hindsight is a wonderful thing but surely we would have been better going 4-5-1 second half. We needed two up top and three in the centre of the park to get at Chelsea but as soon as we scored surely a back four could have coped with protection from midfield. Even if it protects PK who was obviously targeted. That's what I was saying at half time anyway, but i know nothing!!! Thoughts???? Thought they all worked thier knackers off so 7s to all
