Just heard a one night stay in the hospital is £6,570 with a delivery and consultancy fee of around £6,000....who's paying for that....

Good news though! Because it's the second child we get a 10% discount, how charitable!

If it's a private hospital I'd guess someone in the Royal Family will pay for it. If it was in the NHS who would have paid for it?

Be prepared for all the wonderful stories of the baby acting like a baby but portrayed as something remarkable and incredible. Prince George waved at people "almost professionally" yesterday, as stated on a news bulletin.

Hope the baby and family is fine and healthy, the over the top, sycophantic nonsense can do one.

Any news in the media on how often it has shat in its nappy yet?

Surely the Royals don't anything so gross?

I wish Kate had left hospital wearing a Primark onesie, slippers, no make up and with her hair scraped back, wearing a 'I've just given birth and don't give a **** expression'. :D

News Flash!!!

7 women in LRI and LGH gave a "normal birth" to what were described as "healthy babies" yesterday, however as none of them were of a royal descent no one cared a toss and the press weren't interested. (Unless you're willing pay a large amount for a computer generated announcement in the Merc)

I'm not hanging around to find out what they're names are to be. And the bookies told me to **** off.

"When we were at the hospital my husband saw in on the BBC News feed on his phone when it was announced at about 10am.

"We'd been watching all the news about the royal baby closely because Kate had had George on July 22, which is James's birthday.

"It was my birthday last week and we had been wondering if Kate's second baby was going to be born on my birthday.

"But we were waiting and it never happened and then it was lovely that she had the little girl on the same day that I had Bethany."

While Bethany was 8lbs 13oz, the royal baby weighed it at just 10oz lighter.

With Bethany being Amy's fifth child, the whole experience went by without a hitch and the family were all back home welcoming their latest addition by the early afternoon.

Amy and James's other children are Liahona, seven, Rebekah, six, Joel, four, and Miriam, two.

Amy said: "They're all really excited and all desperate to have cuddles with their new little sister.

"They're all wanting to hold her at the same time."

No name has yet been announced for the royal baby.

Kensington Palace said in a statement on Saturday morning: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am. The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz.

"The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

"The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.

"Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."

Prince George was born at the same hospital in July 2013.

The new baby is fourth in line to the throne, behind her grandfather Prince Charles, father Prince William and brother Prince George.

Two of the top headlines on Sky News earlier were that the name "ticks all the right boxes" followed by David Beckham took a selfie on his birthday

Says it all.

What would you have had as your headline matey?

I would have probably had: "Shit weather compounds misery of return to work"

The opening paragraph would have been something like:

"Working tax payers all over the country stared ruefully into their steering wheels the morning as wind and rain spread across the country. Early hopes of simply getting to work on time were soon dashed as once again a little bit of wind was enough to cause accidents on major traffic routes. At approximately 8.20am it is estimated that 87% of commuters were sitting there thinking 'why the fvck do I even bother with this shit when I can just go on benefits.' "
