Don't know what to make of Southampton. They're on a slump as of recent (three wins, two draws and five losses in their last ten), have little to play for anymore (Europa League at best, but need to beat Tottenham and Liverpool to it) and will generally just be happy to see the season end soon.

 

I'd be happy with a point here - the big game is the match that follows a week later at Sunderland.

Deep inside, however, I hope we can beat them in order to put more distance between us and the Mackems.

 

That points to a 2-1 home win.

Depends entirely on whether or not we grab another early goal for me. Score in the first 20 and the momentum will get us across the line. Don't, and I fear a combination of nerves and their quality will make it an altogether more tricky test.

We CAN do this, a few weeks ago I would probably have predicted a loss, but with the way we are playing I think we will draw 2-2 (and secretly live in hope that we will win 2-0!)

 

I'm also fairly confident that Everton will at least take a point from Sunderland so we should still be in a fairly strong position come Saturday afternoon.
