    • Yes, but I'm not a sadist. I will explain why in my post below.

It is also laughable how desperate Tories supporters are to casually brush it off just because they do not want Tories to look bad.

Or possibly they actually feel that way?

My comment was not really aimed at those who do not care (even if I think they should at least be compassionate enough to sign)  but to those who  use excuses such as that we have more bigger things to worry about regarding animal rights or that we all should not be getting bothered about it because it will not be legalised. Both statements may be true but it does not mean that we should overlook the obvious fact that this is morally wrong and it is pretty cunty thing for Tories to do to consider legalising it again.

I genuinely don't care about fox hunting. They can legalise it for all I care. You've admitted that the numbers need controlling so what's the difference?

I can't really listen to any of these tenuous arguments in favour of fox hunting (and they're massively tenuous) without staring amazed at the simp clutching at straws and shaking my head.

It's chasing a wild animal around the countryside, with a huge pack of hounds and hoping they rip it to shreds.

How do you begin to defend that? It's even worse than dog fighting and bull fighting which are both pretty ****ing terrible.

I'm not a vegetarian, I'm not an animal rights nut, I try and get free range eggs where I can but I'm clearly no ozleicester. I'm not even anti hunting, the likes of the Scandis doing a bit of licensed hunting and shooting a deer and eating it? Knock yourself out.

But fox hunting is not only a pretty barbaric blood sport, it's also the most cowardly of all blood sports. In fact, it's so cowardly we should be embarrassed and ashamed about what it says about us as a people.

Most people would frown at bull fighting, it's hugely weighted against the bull, who is tortured and tormented (long before the matador gets near it) to its death, but, shit, at least the loopy andalusian that leaps in there with it has some bollocks.

I actually think the general toffery and cowardice of fox hunting annoys me more than the death of a fox.

I reckon if you want to go fox hunting you should first be stripped of all weapons, cut a bit and dropped in Yellowstone with the druid wolf pack near by in the middle of winter. If you can survive them chasing you for a full day and still fancy the idea then you can chase all the foxes you want.

It's a funny one this fox hunting malarkey.

I've never done it nor do I have plans to do it but the people who are against it don't half sound precious.

It's posh pest control, that's it.

If foxes are really that much of a nuisance then why not kill them in a much more humane and painless way?

Okay maybe not exactly but you've conceded that they might need to be controlled.

Fox Hunting is barbaric

It makes me wonder when some people support things like this only do so because they want to tow the party line to be like the toffs that used to hunt them when being a tory is probably counter productive to these people

You see when people use the words toff or posh it gives the game away. It doesn't bother them that the foxes are killed, just that posh people enjoy doing it.

there is zero justification for savagely torturing an animal

Only foxes we should be hunting are the foxy ladies on a night out in Leicester town imo.

I imagine you're too young to remember the foxy ladies cheer-leading troupe at Filbert Street. The stuff that pubescent dreams are made of.

I do not know much about the fox population and their effect on farms but if they need to be controlled then surely there are various of other methods to do so- fox hunting is not a form of pest control, it is a form of sport and entertainment which is very different.

Foxes are pests and left unchecked they will overrun other wildlife including birds as long as there is food for them. They're also pretty viscous little fvckers when you get one in the back garden, i know. Wasn't there a case a few years back when one mutilated two young twin girls. Problem is how do you humanely kill them, you can't just pop down the local wood and do a few in as and when, you can't poison them because you'll end up poisoning everything else, you can't shoot them because you may just maim it and that's less humane. Seems to me that hunting is the best solution, the hunts are not exactly killing 50 foxes a day.

Not a supporter of fox hunting or the Tories, but actually agree, for some it's more that posh/rich people participate, than it is about the actual hunting.

For me it doesn't matter who participates, it's wrong, end of.

Yes they are, they kill chickens and eat McDonald's and I'm sure my pet labrador has a nicer nature than some maingy critter that's trying to rip the lid of your bin at 3 in the morning.

The 'Champagne Socialist' squandered hundreds of parliamentary hours debating and eventually bringing in this ban when there were so many more important issues to hand. What is so special about the vermin fox? It was put on this earth for no good reason and the sooner this law is repealed the better.

Who gives a fvck about foxes. They kill my pet chickens.

Not about wether they are vermin, or eat your chickens or wether you like them.... cant Stand them myself.

For me its about justifying the suffering of an animal for personal gratification. and bolox is it about animal control... less than 5% of foxes killed are done by fox hunting - there are way more effective ways to kill and control foxes..

I also Keep chickens and you know something? I built my chicken coop securely. Despite my neighbors calling me and telling me they have seen foxes circling the coop , they havnt once got in. Not once.

See a fox after your chickens? shoot it. no suffering. Or Trap it, release it away from populated areas.

Sitting there and watching your dogs rip it to shreds?

I expect more from a civilized society.

Could be worse... could be mauled by a Tiger...
