Not sure why shearer tried to play the dirty tackles card to support his (crappy) argument, he must know by now he's always going to lose that one! Speaking of which, what's this modern obsession with 'studs up' or 'studs showing' like it's the only thing that warrants a sending off? Booting a guy in the knee on purpose is a yellow because his studs aren't showing? Studs will show during any decent slide tackle anyway, if you tackle with a pointed toe you're more likely to get injured. It's irrelevant to how bad a tackle is.

Play like that and both teams will get battered at times this season. As for Tyler, the man is just enthusiastic. Thought we all like pashun round here.
