Corky Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Beating the top team to narrow the gap does help though We were listed with the teams they've recently beaten- the Sunderland's, Aston Villa's and Leicester's need to be defeated.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 what the **** is Barkley doing in there
Tuna Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Schmeichel Kante Kante Kante Fuchs Kante Kante Kante-----------Mahrez Kante Vardy
Aus Fox Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 For the record... Butland Nyom Smalling Koscielny Fuchs Kante Barkley Ozil------------Mahrez Lukaku Vardy Bellerin in for Nyom and that's the team for me. That front 4 would be amazing to see together.
Donut Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Cabaye would be more deserving of a central midfield place than Barkley. Or even Delle Alli for me. Toby Alderweireld at centre back? Id have Koscielny and even the likes of Scott Dann above him.
americanfox Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Schmeichel Kante Kante Kante Fuchs Kante Kante Kante-----------Mahrez Kante Vardy Except on corners
Buzzell Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Where the fuch is Fuch's and Drinkwater in the Team of the Season? Monreal?? Barkley??!
Jimothy Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Monreal isn't that laughable a pick, but Barkley as one of the deeper two midfielders is. Should have been Cabaye, Drinkwater, Alli or Cazorla who at least plays that role.
ajthefox Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Phil Neville has just said it's disrespectful to talk about Jose at United whilst Van Gaal is still there, and in the same breath then gone on to moan about Swansea not having a new manager lined up when they sacked Monk.
Jimothy Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 When was Kane on loan to Southampton? Yeah spotted that Saturday. Motson needs to retire.

deep blue Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Looking back, that beating we got from Arsenal was an important lesson. We are so much better now. So costly though. I know it's all what-ifs, but had we beaten Arsnal, as we could have done, then we would have been 8 points ahead of them and 9 ahead of Man C.
EnglishOxide Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 I'd take Sanchez out of that team for Ighalo or Lukaku. Can't argue too much with the rest of it.

I know it's all what-ifs, but had we beaten Arsnal, as we could have done, then we would have been 8 points ahead of them and 9 ahead of Man C. Shoulda beat Man Utd too, and maybe beat Saints, Stoke, Spurs. We'll live. Although seriously, very bitter about that United draw. Felt like a loss.

What I do feel is slightly bizarre, are news stories like the one on the BBC Sport site that say words to the effect of "Guardiola has chosen his next club" Youre the employee, you dont choose. What if the club youve chosen dont want you? What happens if the current manager of your "chosen" club goes on a marathon run and performances are fantastic? what if your chosen job doesnt become available? what if the terms dont agree on both sides? Its not football manager, click a button and oh look, I manage you now. I apreciate being Pep Guardiola makes you sought after but come on.
lgfualol Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Agree with that team apart from Sanchez. He's only in because it went to a public vote.
J.Lisemore Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 I must be missing something with Ross Barkley, yeah he's alright but he's nothing special from what I've seen, hogs the ball for way too long

Felt like a loss. Exactly, every team can look back and say what if... we won our next games and that is what matters. We recovered well, and actually since then our defence as been a lot better

If it is man city, I know it is unlikely but what of man city win the league have a great far cup run and actually make the semi final or final of the champions league, surely you can't sack him but I guess similar things have happened before
lgfualol Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 Some guy on Reddit saying Kanté shouldn't be there because we've conceded a lot. Never answered my question when I asked if he's even seen him play.
EnglishOxide Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 I must be missing something with Ross Barkley, yeah he's alright but he's nothing special from what I've seen, hogs the ball for way too long He is still only young and is getting better at releasing it. He's the only player so far this season to cause Kante a bit of trouble IMO.
Donut Posted 21 December 2015 Posted 21 December 2015 He is still only young and is getting better at releasing it. He's the only player so far this season to cause Kante a bit of trouble IMO. Thats not a barometer of success is it? a one off game against a one off opponent. Sadly Ross Barkley is a victim of over hyping.
EnglishOxide Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 He's not had just one good game has he? He has been one of Evertons better performers this season.
onekeithweller Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Couldn't post the link I wanted to, anyway we're top of the league, so no bother.
