Aus Fox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 What I do feel is slightly bizarre, are news stories like the one on the BBC Sport site that say words to the effect of "Guardiola has chosen his next club" Youre the employee, you dont choose. What if the club youve chosen dont want you? What happens if the current manager of your "chosen" club goes on a marathon run and performances are fantastic? what if your chosen job doesnt become available? what if the terms dont agree on both sides? Its not football manager, click a button and oh look, I manage you now. I apreciate being Pep Guardiola makes you sought after but come on. I agree, Lets just say it is either Man Utd or Man City Now Man Utd and Man City both have the quality to win the Premier League this season, neither are playing that well at the minute but LVG could suddenly realise that he may have to change formation and attack teams ( I know unrealistic) but if he did they do have the quality to go on a winning streak and take the league and FA Cup. Man City could still win the treble. In wither if these cases that position surly will not be available at the end of the season. The only decision he could have made is Chelsea - with no manager in place at the end of the season, they may have offered him a deal to take over when he finishes in Germany.

His agents have received offers and he has chosen based on those offers. He is a top class manager, he doesn't have to look for work, it to him
Raw Dykes Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Some guy on Reddit saying Kanté shouldn't be there because we've conceded a lot. Never answered my question when I asked if he's even seen him play. Kante is magic. I don't think I've ever seen a player tackle as effortlessly and as effectively as him. He gives the ball away a fair bit, but it doesn't matter, as he just goes and gets it back straight away. He fvcking rapid, 'n all. Him and Fuchs are absolutely brilliant signings. I seriously think Kante could be a contender for best ever Leicester midfielder. Does what Lennon did, but he would leave Lenny in the dust.
MC Prussian Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 i have never heard of nyom Oh, he's good. Very good. One proper and clean fighting machine.
Guest Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 according to the news channels the Prem now belongs to Arsenal.
N8 Fox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Is it a huge shock that wider press / pundits are expecting us to not win the league? Too many people seem to have an inferiority complex about that. We totally deserve to be where we are after 17 games, however the probability is that we won't win the league this year. I'm dreaming of us lifting the title but would many on this forum back us over Arsenal and / or man city? Arsenal / man city have greater squad depth and players who have performed at the top level for a number of years and won a number of trophies. Our run is phenomenal and its evident it isn't simply a lucky run however I still recall many of these same players struggling for form for half of last season. we seem to have moved to another level since April so I'm not suggesting we will return to that form just that it's inevitable there will be doubts about our ability to go the distance

You look back at history and many sides in a similar position to us have done well and pushed forward but not won the title. Arsenal are always there in the top 4 and it looks like it could be their year following last night! I think at this stage we are title contenders, as we are in there and definately have a shout if we can maintain our form, but favorites? No way! And to be honest thats just the way i like it!
weller54 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 according to the news channels the Prem now belongs to Arsenal. It's in their own hands, so they must be favorites.. They also have the experience of competing year on year at the top of the PL.. It's fair that they are favorites over us. But....life is like a box of chocolates.. You never know what you're gonna get next. (F.Gump)
Leicesterpool Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 There's some big news coming out of Man Utd today, stay tuned
shen Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Agree with that team apart from Sanchez. He's only in because it went to a public vote. No doubt he's up there in terms of skill and workrate. But I would've had Payet in there as well, he was one of the main reasons West Ham looked like top 6 contenders at the start of the season. Maybe even de Bruyne could've edged it. Albrighton gets no shout because he's not got the stats Vardy and Mahrez have which make him look relatively poor or something...

They have to beat us in the return match we only need a draw. :xmaswink:

ARM1968 Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 He actually says "life WAS like a box of chocolates," I'm just wondering what happens to us psychologically when we reach the much talked about 40pts. Even a 5% drop in effort will derail us. Or will cut loose and really go for it?
MC Prussian Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Van Gaal allegedly held a very passionate speech at this year's Manchester United christmas dinnner, a speech for which he was applauded "warmly". You don't win games with warm applause, Louis. In the end, it's nothing but hot air.
