sdb Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Can someone work out who we want to win this? City so Utd are all but out of it when we play them, or Newcastle so they are still in with a chance when they play Spurs last day?? I'm thinking the latter, which ain't happening. Awful from linesman.
Socks Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Miles offside Yet again more poor officials decisions, a decision like that could send Newcastle down piss poor. i would be fuming bring in Robots I say
weller54 Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Need to have Newcastle's hopes alive for the game with Spuds!

Awful from linesman. I think the answer is that a draw would suit us best. We want Newcastle to need something from the Spurs game, but if they win tonight, looking at their remaining fixtures, there'd be a chance that they might be safe by the time they play Spurs, as they have matches against Villa and Palace at home which are eminently winnable. If there's a team who'll pull out the deck chairs if they don't need the points, it's Newcastle. N.B. they've just equalised as I type.
weller54 Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Hope they smash up the cocky spuds last game of the season!
MC Prussian Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Well-deserved equalizer for Newcastle. At least that shameful offside goal for Manchester City is now quickly forgotten and the focus on the home team.
GaelicFox Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 We need Newcastle needing something on last day ...they are playing ok
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Miles offside Yet again more poor officials decisions, a decision like that could send Newcastle down piss poor. i would be fuming bring in Robots I say The robots thing might not be a million miles away for offside - given its impossible for a linesman to focus on two separate parts of the pitch as offside requires. You'd need some sort of camera system on a rail alongside the side of the pitch.
Floridafox Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Its 6 degrees of separation but really cheering on Newcastle (few weeks ago would not have a shed a tear to see them relegated but now desperately want them to have a chance of staying up last game of the season)
ceredigion Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 It's still mathematically possible for us to finish 4th, but if Man City drop points tonight, that will guarantee us 3rd place at worst.

weller54 Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Knocky on target again for Brighton! Great free kick..
Jimothy Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 So Andy Hinchcliffe (I think it's him) on sky has just commented on Aguero going down in the box and he said "It's not a dive, he feels the contact and that makes him think he can go down, but he doesn't exaggerate the fall so it's not a dive." If he falling over because he feels a slight touch rather than falling over because he actually loses his feet then it's still a dive. Now he's saying its a penalty but the referee didn't give it because it's an accidental tangle of legs.
Callabinho Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Ric flair is supporting the mighty foxes "woooooooooooooo"

T'was a dive - should be a yellow or red then Once again consistency I think the ref was equalling it out as he knows Aguero was offside for the 1st one
The Bear Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 It wasn't a dive. Should have been a pen. Defender clearly trips him.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Come on Newcastle... We want them to be in the running for survival come the last game, showing good form now
Socks Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Come on Newcastle... We want them to be in the running for survival come the last game, showing good form now we do just that! Playing well they are too....
Vacamion Posted 19 April 2016 Posted 19 April 2016 Newcastle are just a tad more up for it than when they lost 0-3 to us.
