I'll never get this sense of entitlement among certain parts of Arsenal's, Manchester United's, Liverpool's or Chelsea's fanbase. I find it to be moaning on a really, really high level. Arsenal, for instance, have never finished lower than fourth in the league in the past 20 years. They play in Europe on a regular basis. Now, imagine you were Leicester and being able to produce that kind of consistency over the course of two decades! But since they're Arsenal, they're miserable.

As mentioned in another thread a while back, I hope we never get to that point ourselves. I see Arsenal fans on their YouTube channels turning into a walking parody and taking themselves more serious than the team or the football even. It's ridiculous. Instead of celebrating that constant success (other teams can only dream of), they've got nothing better to do than cry a river. First World problems and all...

It's when you take success for granted and when football fans turn into self-important and spoilt brats, you know you've hit your peak.

The feedback you get from Spurs fans these days, however, is somewhat different, because they had to live in the Gunners' and Blues' shadow for so long: Envy, wrapped in utter dislike of what we've achieved so far. I wouldn't tar all opposing fans with the same brush and I honestly think most Spurs fans are decent, but either on the edge or massively gutted that we're the only ones standing in the way of their first shot at league silverware in 55 years. If it was roles reversed, wouldn't you feel the same, too?

Massive difference in the size of the clubs and the amount spent though. Even if we were knocking around the bottom half of the championship we'd be achieving more than Coalville could ever hope of, but for the size of the club and the facilities we'd be massively underachieving. If you're spending millions every year, have world cup winners, champions league winners and the like in your squad and can never even manage a serious title challenge then you're below what you should be.

Is it fair...??. Not sure if the question has already been asked.

With 4-8 games to go, is it fair in the title challenge, or relegation battle, that the involved

teams, should be playing on different days, or even times.

Surely it changes game day tactics for some managers...

IMO its unfair on both Spurs and Leicester, plus Norwich, Sunderland, Newcastle this season.

I'm cheering Newcastle on for the next few weeks. Want them to need a result against Spurs on the last day of the season.

So so glad seeing The Arsenal fook it up all over again.

Wenger needs to go for them to get anywhere now. That said, stay Arsene and keep getting it wrong.

You can't compare Arsenal to Leicester. They're a much bigger club with much bigger ambitions.

That's like saying why are Leicester fans complaining. We get to play in the top 2 divisions in all our history. That's something Crewe Alexandra could only cream of. Do we tell West Brom fans to shut up and stop being miserable because Walsall wish they were in your position?

Arsenal are the 3rd biggest club in England and pay the highest ticket prices in Europe, and yet are served up utter dross by overrated bottle jobs and a manager who hasn't got a clue.

I'm not debating the future aspect or Arsenal's size in the grand scheme of things. I just don't appreciate that culture of entitlement amongst a certain (large) part of their respective fanbase. Every year, every season, you can but hope that things go your way, but surely not demand or force them because it simply ought to be that way according to fans' logic.

I heard Arsenal fans on their YouTube channel, calling for new players for a while now... Surely it works diametrical to your strategy of winning if you keep chopping and changing?

Sometimes, this gets to the rather odd (but modern and consumerist) point where "new" things (players) are better simply because they are "new". Fans of presumably bigger clubs get especially sucked into this way of thinking, being reduced to a brainless consumer.

I wouldn't call Arsenal's type of football "utter dross", either. Like I've said, there's many teams who'd love to be in such a rather comfortable situation where a Cup win or European football is guaranteed on a regular basis.

If at all, blame it on the money and professionals not being professional enough. I think it's harder to establish a winning mentality with players that can afford anything and don't have to fight for anything any longer, unless you have a brilliant management team at your disposal. But of course, I hear Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic and Messi in the back of my head and think they are the exception to the rule.

Btw, what do West Brom fans have to be upset about?

I get your point but I don't fully agree.

Comparing us and them is daft and you know it is. To say that we'd be happy with Europe every year but they aren't because they're miserable is to take everything completely out a context. We've never won a league title or an FA Cup and they've won 13 and 12 respectively. There is a sense of entitlement and I still even get that off Liverpool fans a little, but you can't blame fans for expecting some success.

I would also argue that it's not even the silverware as such that is the biggest issue, but it's more to do with the fact that Arsenal bottle the league year after year. There's a period practically every year where they look almost unplayable and yet they haven't had any consistency for years. They started the season really well and looked like they could be going all the way but again, they've faltered. They haven't even been close to us since they beat us. That has got to be the most frustrating thing, especially when on their day they're quite possibly the best side going forward in the league.

I understand your point and half agree with it. But the expectations at Arsenal are much higher than at Leicester. We'd be ecstatic with Europe every year but they expect trophies, and rightfully as one of the biggest clubs in the country. Also they are annoyed that they see zero progress in their side and they've stagnated as a club.

West Brom fans moan a lot because of the dross served up to them. They've had about 3 shots on target in six games or something.

There's an entitlement culture amongst certain football fans though.
