Dan Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 We don't even have it that bad compared to most in this league. Arsenal should be ashamed of themselves. No season ticket for under fifty quid a game. Scandalous.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 We fare pretty well there, certainly from the point of view that we could probably charge more and still sell out. £550 for Bournemouth is a joke.
jammie82uk Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 Newcastle Most expensive adult: £924 (1 year) Cheapest adult: £525 (for a 7 year commitment) £500 (one year) Cheapest junior: £105 (family area) it seems they certainly like the 7 years options
Houdini Logic Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 We're the only club to differentiate between renewal and new? I wouldn't have expected that...
StanSP Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 Man City's cheapest at £299 should be recognised. For the talent that they possess and the entertainment you're almost guaranteed to get at that ground most weeks, that is a really good price.
Narborough_fox Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 £550 for cheapest season ticket at Bournemouth. £585 at Norwich. Sickening.
Fox92 Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 We don't even have it that bad compared to most in this league. Arsenal should be ashamed of themselves. No season ticket for under fifty quid a game. Scandalous. Arsenal include every cup game though I think. If not every, it's a lot.
Poznan34 Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 Arsenal include every cup game though I think. If not every, it's a lot. Plus some Champions League games. Still too expensive though.
MikeyT Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 Arsenal, Bournemouth and Norwich are joke prices! Disgusting!
stripeyfox Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 I think we did well. When our ST prices were set, everybody thought we'd be relegated, including the club no doubt. If safety was assured, I have no doubt we'd be looking at a chunky increase.
Wymsey Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 I understand that Bournemouth has increased prices to try and get further revenue in - but it is really distasteful to their more loyal fans; as they'll receive big cash from TV games anyway added to their matchday revenue, and also even if they did go down they'll still get 'parachute payments' which would keep them going for a few seasons if they stayed in the Championship for a while. Sadly, it's all about short-term gains and loyalty is suffering from it.

The thing about Bournemouth is that the amount they will take from 7000 season tickets is peanuts in relation to the what they will get from playing at least one season in this league.

For the talent that they possess and the entertainment you're almost guaranteed to get at that ground most weeks, that is a really good price.Probably not all it's cracked upto be, when they started these cheap season tickets the other season (the same price as now £299) you had to be a renewal for starters, the club decide where you sit after all the ST have been sold and only a limited number of these were available, I haven't looked but I guess it's still the same format. Some existing STH will have to stump up double for their same seat next season. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-city-fans-passionate-reaction-9066482

promised land Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 so you might not get the view you wanted but you still see the same football for a cheaper price On your todd as they are single seats dotted here and there, yes I'll agree an amazing price for football if you can get hold of one.
Bayfox Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 Not wishing to go over old ground again and for the record I think my 21 quid a game is good value in relation to a lot of things. But I have a mate over from Germany at the minute, he's in the forces and has had a hamburg season ticket for about 4 years now. 160 euros for him and it admits 1 kid as well. Gets to see bayern, dortmund etc once a season. We do get ****ed in this country when you look at the tv deals elsewhere.
Dan Posted 30 May 2015 Posted 30 May 2015 Man City's cheapest at £299 should be recognised. For the talent that they possess and the entertainment you're almost guaranteed to get at that ground most weeks, that is a really good price. It is. Makes it all the more baffling that they don't fill it and even more baffling than that that they're expanding. I understand that Bournemouth has increased prices to try and get further revenue in - but it is really distasteful to their more loyal fans; as they'll receive big cash from TV games anyway added to their matchday revenue, and also even if they did go down they'll still get 'parachute payments' which would keep them going for a few seasons if they stayed in the Championship for a while. Sadly, it's all about short-term gains and loyalty is suffering from it. This is the club who charged sixty quid for a friendly and tried to make out they were doing their fans a favour. I expect nothing but greed from them this year. Bet they charge us the wrong side of £40. It's a bit ridiculous that they didn't do what Blackpool did with their ground.
chapero82 Posted 30 May 2015 Posted 30 May 2015 We don't even have it that bad compared to most in this league. Arsenal should be ashamed of themselves. No season ticket for under fifty quid a game. Scandalous. So we should be the cheapest as we are poorest in the country
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 30 May 2015 Posted 30 May 2015 Disgusting prices from Bournemouth, a few seasons ago I was getting in the away end for a tenner!
ScouseFox Posted 30 May 2015 Posted 30 May 2015 i'm pretty sound with my price at our ground. works out at £16 a game or something, but i can't always get to all of them so probably end up paying closer to about £25 a game, which is still loads better than buying individual tickets. not a chance i'd be able to go if i supported either of my local teams. probably be a tranmere or southport fan. edit - just looked out of interest and a tranmere season ticket for my age (U22) is only £53 cheaper than my premier league one. mad.
promised land Posted 30 May 2015 Posted 30 May 2015 I think that's where the problem lies Scousefox, as you go lower down the leagues, the price doesn't drop an awful lot. No idea what local football costs like Quorn or Hinckley afc. But it won't be a fiver for adults.
