Ashley Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 U14 Cup Final. http://footyaccumulators.com/the-penalty-that-caused-global-debate/ For me it is a Goal, ball is constantly in motion.
the zorro Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 It's a goal. How can this cause 'global debate' and 'baffle people' as stated on the link?
Soar Fox Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Poor goalkeeping, poor penalty. But yes it is a goal
The Doctor Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 If that's in open play it's obviously a goal. If it's a shootout then it's slightly more dubious but it's still moving - it's no different to if the keeper blocked it with a leg, it span up, hit the bar and back in off their back
StanSP Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 I thought the ruling was that the goal-keeper has stopped the forward momentum of the ball. Very difficult to tell from that angle but as he saves it does it spin upwards in the air but slightly back towards the penalty-taker?
TOMBlcfc Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 If it's in open play or in a shootout doesn't make a difference in this case. Clear goal, no debate, awful by the keeper and I think he knew it when it happened
anotherharboroughfox Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 schoolboy error http://instantostrich.com
BoyJones Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 The lad shoots touches the ball only once, ball doesnt stop moving, ends up in net. Obvious goal, What's the problem?
VLC86 Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Goal, and why no poll? They got knocked out in the earlier rounds.
Vlad the Fox Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Goal, the keeper didn't save it. at the gobby parents shrieking the injustice of it all.
Raj Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Goal..tw@tty GK was too busy celebrating and never had it in his hands or until the ball was out of play
Vlad the Fox Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Reminds me of a goal Scored in the six-a-side team I play for. My mate took a shot that was so bad it was bouncing harmlessly slowly towards the goal, the keeper had time to rant at his defence for letting us shoot waving his arms around and pointing accusations to his players as the ball bounced under his arm and in the net . We won 1-0 and the win kept us up.
Charl91 Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 How is that ever not a goal? Ball doesn't stop moving, doesn't go out of play, and the keeper never once has it under control.
Carl the Llama Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Only way that's not a goal is if it happens on a playground and the keeper threatens to take his ball home if you don't give the 'save'.
Jattdogg Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Clearly the goalkeeper had a premature ejaculation moment. He finished but well.... dunno how you can debate this.
Carl the Llama Posted 16 June 2015 Posted 16 June 2015 Cannot stop watching this Love the bit at 17 seconds where someone's giving the ref a bit of aggro and he just points at the ball in the back of the unguarded net
