Just had an insect fly through my window and explode, legs and whatnot all over the place!

Think it was a Jihaddy long legs.

Yea that rings a bell. There was a shooting in the Bastille area of Paris yesterday too, where 2 men were on the run, so this may turn out to be linked.

The report has been updated to say that the man today has now been detained by counter terrorism police.

The question is whether we should deploy some troops over there, considering we're moreorless a neighbor,  if their security is over-stretched?

Especially at the Euros.

I think I've mentioned this before but it's disgusting how tribal some people get over tragedy. A dozen people on my facebook have shared a link to the Guardian article claiming "where is Ankara's 'je suis' moment". People react to such events in different ways, it's so arrogant and insulting to suggest these reactions are somehow born out of xenophobia or chauvinism.
