Ranieri's first signing?

The **** is the Austin obsession? We don't need forwards and he's horrendously over priced.

Thiago Motta says he wants to leave PSG.

Ranieri knows Motta from his time at Inter...

Cambiasso.

Then I'm hoping that he's got a brilliant no-nonse CB and a big Matic style CDM up his sleeve. Potentially an appointment of Ranieri's calibre and rap sheet might persuade Kante to sign now too.

That goes for the whole squad

It'll be someone shockingly disappointing.

'Leicester launch audacious bid to attract Sulley Muntari back to the Premier League.'

He also signed Drogba for Chelsea- be decent for a season or 2? Would prefer Didier than Berbatov

Drogba's best days are gone, don't get me wrong he is still a good player but not the direction we want to be going in.

I know everyone's opinion will differ and expectations have now gone through the roof, but below is a realistic list of players that could be available from prem clubs given limited opportunities next season.

I think any of them would be a welcome addition.

Debuchy

Flamini

Jedinak

Pienaar

Lucas

Borini

Januzaj

Fellaini

Moses

Walker

Dembele

Townsend

I would also like to think we could challenge other clubs at similar levels for their better players......

Sissoko

Shelvey

No doubt their are others but these are those that I think would be a possibility and that would interest Claudio

Just my thoughts before being shot down

He also said he'll never play for another premier league team, correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure why it's funny?

All of these players are now 2nd or 3rd choice in their given positions, and with the exception of maybe two or three will be under £10m which as has been proven falls into our budget.

I accept Fellaini is a big ask but he is really going to struggle at Man U after yesterday's signings.

The other that I'd throw into mix is Adebayor (not that I want him near our team).

Am I the only one that is concerned that this could actually be the way the club could now be going under Ranieri? Thiago motta, Sulley Muntari, Didier Drogba, Dimitar Berbatov??

Not saying the these weren't some great players a few years ago, some world class, but now they are all past their best, and I'm sure still commanding high wages and bonuses based solely on their reputation from that era.

Don't get me wrong, I highly doubt these examples will ever play for Leicester City, but I'm very nervous that we could end up with players of the same ilk, that will have no pride in the shirt, soak up Millions of pounds, and still leave us in the Championship.

I really hope I'm wrong, and we sign young, eager, developing talent, but I'm fearful right now......

I'd say that Thiago Motta is past his best.

In the same way that Cambiasso is.

Whether Ranieri wants to go for these type of players or not is by the by.  Personally, regardless of what our owners ambitions are like, I don't think it stretches to paying near the 6 figure a week salary it would take to lure some of those players here.
