City1884 Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 I'd say that Thiago Motta is past his best. In the same way that Cambiasso is. Ok, he would come in and do a job for us, possibly a very good one for a season, a la Cambiasso, but you have to admit, they are not players that are going to get better, they are naturally going to decline due to their age. (Players like Drogba, Etoo, etc already have) Wouldn't you rather a team that can develop and improve? Like we've been building for the last few years??

lgfualol Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 Hopefully someone soon as I'm getting a bit bored. Me too. And I thought after finally getting a manager I'd be satisfied.

I would rather the Young hungry players but it's very unlikely now we have Ranieri- I fully expect us to sign a player like Drogba, Berbatov or Eto'o. It's just inevitable

5waller5 Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 I love it that we haven't got a clue and can't guess ..... It's going to be an exciting summer!!!
Daveaway Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 Bored haven't we signed anyone yet?? he has been the manager nearly 24 hours now
Fox 4 Life Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 It will be interesting as I wonder if Ranieri has even heard of Austin, Kante and the other targets. I assume he will trust Steve Walsh based on their previous relationship but a lot of the players he "knows" will be heading towards the end of their careers.

Why do you think that a lot of the players that he knows will be nearing the end of their careers? There is no basis for this belief.

Why would Pearson know who N'Golo Kante is? Because his scouting team told him so, same will be for Ranieri.

Ranieri is likely to have seen Kanté first hand when he was at Monaco in Ligue 2.
thybluefox Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 I love the perception that an old manager is only going to bring in old players, its so flawed its almost brilliant.
