Foxhateram Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 Not really sure what all the fuss is about. He very nearly destroyed our great club last season with his arrogance and diabolical selections. We only survived with 2 games to go with a team that should have done better. MON is our best ever manager and those kiddies on here who didn't witness those great times need to speak to more seasoned supporters who will tell you about a true great manager - not some arrogant plonker with his head so far up his backside - which eventually and rightly so got him fired. Good riddance to bad news. Anyone who wants to have a go I have one things to say to you Hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa Pearson is gone so back to your comics and playstation kiddies hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Been the best summer ever celebrating the owner's courage to sack a useless arrogant clown. Has your wife left you? The irony of someone like you talking about people with their head up their backside is quite amusing. Pearson, just to remind you, was that manger we sacked after he had got us from L1 all the way to the premier league and kept us there. The man that built a young hungry squad that is ready to take in the world's best. The man who built the resources of this club up from top top to bottom. The man who showed that he really cared about our club. Some people have such short term memories, I really do worry about some of the people posting here. It's almost like the media print a story and suddenly they all forget about the reality rather than the media claptrap. We thank you big Nige for taking us from L1 to the place where we belong, for that, we salute you.
demon_dog Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 Never really commented yet on Pearson's dismissal. Won't say I was surprised to hear about his dismissal for whatever the reason. He was a decent enough manager, not as good as many on here seem to think! Yes we saw some good times under his tenure, also some absolutely diabolical! Just hope you've learnt to control your both verbal and physical actions that have contributed to your dismissal. (Not good publicity you know) All the best though in your managerial career.
richard80014 Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 Pearson will go the same way as Peter Taylor - no decent club will want him due to his bad attitude and for having no plan B. Lets face it kids - he could have taken us to non league and you would all still be worshipping him. It is becoming embarrassing now kids. Can the mods remove these people from the site and leave real fans to debate football please and also to offer support to our new manager. The club is bigger than any person and thankfully the kids on here don't go to the games. Bring on the new season with real fans and a class manager. Sad to see so many people on here becoming so distressed and losing their temper. Now now kids........ ..... Gets better each day...................... Keeping in line with the theme of the thread I have a message for NP which is 'bye bye' and please take the doughnuts who worship you along with you to non league..... ... we have our club back - we have our club back....... now more than 20 fans can sing for the manager this coming season.... can't wait.

Has your wife left you? The survival thing. I don't get it when people say stuff like this. Our aim was to stay up. We achieved that. It doesn't matter if we did it with two games to go, two months to go or two minutes to go. We did it. Burnley and QPR - the other promoted clubs - didn't. As for your O'Neill comment. I'm sure they'll be older fans than you that think other managers, Gillies for example, were better than O'Neill. It all depends on what era you got to watch. For me personally I can remember the back end of O'Neill's reign here. I've been a STH since 2002 and in those thirteen years I've only seen two successful managers - Adams and Pearson. Pearson took us from our worst ever position to survival in the Premier League in the space of five years (taking away the time he was away from the club the first time). It's a shame that people like you don't respect what he achieved. It's all good and well branding other people kids but you're the one banging on about Pearson when he's gone. I thought we are supposed to move on now? Just respect what he achieved for your football club ffs regardless of whether you like him or not. As for arrogance. Wow. A football manager doesn't have to be "nice". I've seen so many managers walk out of interviews or treat reporters bad. Can you remember when Alex Ferguson banned the BBC from interviewing him? I mean, the BBC, the biggest broadcasting organisation in the World. Brian Clough is the greatest manager ever, if not he is up there, and he was nicknamed "bighead" by the media. I've watched stuff from the likes of Clough and Revie that couldn't be said today. Pearson guided us to two league titles -and don't start with the "it was only League One shite because try telling that to Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Southampton, Coventry and any other big club that failed to get out of the third tier at the first time of asking. And we didn't even just get out of that league, we walked it - and two play off campaigns. We could have ended up with back to back promotions! If you don't respect and admire everything he achieved here now he's gone then you've got to have something personal against him. It's sad.
ealingfox Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 Pretty depressing that all these pathetic morons have crawled out of the woodwork and this time Pearson won't be able to humiliate them yet again.
C-man Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 Funny that the person calling everyone kids is the one acting like the biggest child on here. He does appear to have an unhealthy obsession with kids.

What a ridiculous statement (I know you're only reacting to another ridiculous statement) but personally I'd much sooner we were safe with 2 months to go.
Fox92 Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 What a ridiculous statement (I know you're only reacting to another ridiculous statement) but personally I'd much sooner we were safe with 2 months to go. Yeah, so would I. But it doesn't matter now because we stayed up. That was the aim and we achieved it.
hackneyfox Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 Yeah, so would I. But it doesn't matter now because we stayed up. That was the aim and we achieved it. Unfortunately too may people are now taking the attitude that because we finished 14th the whole season was a success which it quite clearly wasn't. Thankfully most managers don't have this kind of blinkered view and sit back and assess the past season and performances and change the squad and tactics accordingly.

I'm not saying it was a success - there were plenty of issues that need addressing we all know this - but we did achieve our object set out at the start of the season. The fanbase would have happily took 17th place, doesn't matter how we got there... Manchester City won the league in the very last minute when Aguero scored. Do you think their board view it as a successful season?
Frank to be Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 Pretty depressing that all these pathetic morons have crawled out of the woodwork and this time Pearson won't be able to humiliate them yet again. Of course he will. He's one of the best managers in the world at the height of his powers. We'll surely see a Pearson side finish above a Leicester side within a few seasons...

So are you saying out season would have been a success if the points were evenly spread rather than in groups?
HEGGSY Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 Richard reminds me of someone who's been on one of those Barclays digital eagle adverts and he just learnt how to switch a computer on for the first time. What a ****ing melt.
Haydos Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 What a ridiculous statement (I know you're only reacting to another ridiculous statement) but personally I'd much sooner we were safe with 2 months to go. That's so simplistic though. If we're doing what-ifs then that run of fairly kind fixtures could have come 2 months earlier and we'd have been fine. It didn't though, so you might as well be complaining that we weren't good enough because of the order of the fixtures we were dealt.
C-man Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 If you can honestly say you would have preferred our form to be evenly spread to reach 41 points over the course of a season than how it turned out then I'm sorry but you're not doing football right.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 That Richard geezer. You weren't around when Matt Gillies was manager, were you SONNY? I didn't like Pearson, or his antics, but ffs, he kept us up. It is obvious to me that you are doing nothing more than a wind up on here, or trolling if you prefer, but you are not very good at it. Now, sit yourself down with a cup of cocoa, a comic, and bag of sweeties, and take your little mind off something that is too difficult for you to understand.

EnderbyFox Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 DT defending Pearson, never thought I'd see the day

ARM1968 Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 As I've said a few times Pearsons achievements should be respected, applauded and never forgotten. However his attitude and actions at times last season were bIzzare, foolish and embarrassing. He made a fool of himself a number of times. I think his attitude will always hold him back.

Yeah because it held back Wenger, Clough, Mourinho, Guardiola and Ferguson's careers didn't it.
