Lincoln V Leicester - 7:45pm

I can't see any threads for this.

I wonder if CR will try to implement his style ASAP or there will be subtle changes done over time.

I know he's said that he isn't going to change much but I'll be interested to see "The Italian way" being implemented. I'd prefer him to tinker now rather than the start of the season. Lose all the friendlies for all I care as long as he's learning from it.

He's already said that players will get 45 mins, then a bit more then 90 as is the norm in these pre-season games so I doubt will see to much of anything. i think he'll just be seeing how individual players perform and whether they fit with his style at least until we get to the last friendlies where presumably they'll be more 90 min performances by his chosen starting team.

This is only down the road for me so not Gonna miss it, am looking for to seeing some live football again . Was really disappointed when it was called off last time when city came here .

I'm going, but I'm in the home end. My girlfriends family are all Lincoln fans. I went to watch Lincoln City play Lincoln united on Friday. That's 90 minutes of my life I won't get back

Would loved to have gone as Lincoln is where I went to Uni and I always wanted us to get them in the cup.

Alas, my business won't run itself... Hope everyone who is going has a nice time though! :D

Ooooohhh Ranieri

He is the tinker man,

He used to manage Chelsea

He is Italian.

He joined the famous blue boys

The Leicester City men,

And when we get to Europe

We'll sing this song again....

To be honest it's about bloody time. We must be the only side in the country not to have played a pre-season match yet.

Ohhh Ranieri

I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. Might be fresher or might get out-ran by Sunderland in August.

I'm really looking forward to listening to the game. I expect we'll switch up formations.

Just had a look on the Premier League website - only Spurs (who had 2 "post-season" friendlies) haven't had a friendly yet and almost everybody has had at least 2.

Not saying this is a good thing or a bad thing but it does seem very odd.

I trust our Sports Science team, they know better than we do.

Perhaps they felt that the end of last season was so draining that a slightly longer break was required.

45 mins each, so 22 players getting a run out.

Judging by Chilwell's twitter he is one of those 22.

Can see Schlupp playing in a more attacking role tonight then rather than being at left back?

Perhaps and like I say I'm not saying it's a bad thing or a good thing - certainly the end to last season seems a plausible explanation.

Other teams have sport science departments as well and the consensus seems to be that the best time to start playing the friendlies was 7-10 days ago.

This is a 'must win' game IMO.

Get this wrong tonight and Ranieri is on borrowed time.

Any less than 5 zero and I'm worried...

lol

I fear some might car bomb the nearest King Power store if we don't win this by at least 6
