Dan Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Thought it was worth a new thread as the first announcement has been made. Dynamic rivalries! Basically this means that rivalries can develop with a particular club over time, something I've wanted for a while.
DB11 Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Have you got any official link or source or announcement?
Mark_w Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Will be interesting to see what sparks new rivalries. Hoping for 'Leicester and Charlton are now rivals because of some nob on a messageboard'. Have you got any official link or source or announcement? It's on Miles Jacobson's twitter. https://twitter.com/milesSI
Dan Posted 23 July 2015 Author Posted 23 July 2015 They've needed that for a while I think. When I was Las Palmas I always really enjoyed getting one over Real Betis for some reason.
LCFC FOX Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 But you like getting one over on Real Betis. But how does the game know that's you are? Or does the game decide for you
General Smuts Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Just a few tweaks on the classic mode please! Ability to import editor data, full youth squads and better choice of number of players at the start of the game. That'd be perfection. Basically the main game but no press conferences, less pointless news items and instant results.
MPH Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 But you like getting one over on Real Betis. But how does the game know that's you are? Or does the game decide for you I'm guessing pre match and post match interviews could play a part....
Stadt Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Might be an option already but it'd be good if you had the choice of not having a teams new signings when you start a save.
DB11 Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Might be an option already but it'd be good if you had the choice of not having a teams new signings when you start a save. Wouldn't that just be a custom database where the player isn't at your club? Not sure what you mean about that being an option.
stu Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 I've always wanted to play as an actual manager. For example play as Ranieri and have all the associated coaching skills and media styles pre set. Pretty sure it would be easy to do as all the data is there to enable it. It annoys me when you start a game and with a team and the manager has to be sacked to enable you to take over, especially if they have only recently been appointed. So unrealistic! Much prefer to play as that manager. Fully expecting an ostrich reference in the press conferences as well!
Stadt Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 Wouldn't that just be a custom database where the player isn't at your club? Not sure what you mean about that being an option. So for example you could start the save on FM16 without Okazaki, Fuchs and Huth so you'd have a full transfer budget
General Smuts Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 So for example you could start the save on FM16 without Okazaki, Fuchs and Huth so you'd have a full transfer budget I say this every year. I'd love to start at the start of the transfer window with no contracts renewed and no players signed yet.
4everfox Posted 23 July 2015 Posted 23 July 2015 I think it would be good if they abolished transfer budgets all together and instead introduced a system where you pitch a potential signing to the board and they give you a set amount of money to sign the player. If they did this on a player by player basis based on a newly introduced chairman ambition statistic to define how easy it would be to get your chairman to stump up the cash. For example it would be easier to successfully pitch a player to Man City's chairman (who's ambition stat would be 20) then it would be in comparison to Burnley's chairman (who's ambition stat would be 10) where it could be difficult to get the chairman to sanction a deal for an expensive player. This would seem a lot more realistic to me.
Frank to be Posted 24 July 2015 Posted 24 July 2015 Progress to next match unless [x]a bid comes in for one of your players or staff [x]a player wants to talk to you [x]You receive a job offer [x]your ass man wants to hold a meeting [x]other interesting stuff [ ]news comes through that Swindon towns on loan left back jimininy Rodriguez has hurt his toe and will be out for a week [ ]some German 2nd division fixtures have been played [ ]other non interesting stuff
Finnegan Posted 24 July 2015 Posted 24 July 2015 If they slip an ostrich comment somewhere in the press conferences I'll just die of happiness. Get it done Ricey. Should only have like a 1 in 1000 chance of coming up as an option but that'd be a fantastic easter Egg.
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 24 July 2015 Posted 24 July 2015 Sounds good! Can't wait for the custom Burnley Pre/post match press conferences to have the talk about how much money Leicester have spent option, make for a good rivalry

LCFC FOX Posted 24 July 2015 Posted 24 July 2015 How would you play as another manger though? You're only allowed to buy players we've been linked to in real life? Only allowed to play the formation he's played in real life?
Dan Posted 24 July 2015 Author Posted 24 July 2015 I think it's pretty much just playing the same game but whilst actually being them, you can completely change them. It's not like any manager sticks rigidly to one formation for his entire career.
Ian W LCFC Posted 25 July 2015 Posted 25 July 2015 Think I'm going to get this years. Haven't bought one for a while. When do they normally come out?
