shen Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 I've never really found a suitable formation for a defensive forward to be honest. I only ever find myself using the poacher, complete forward, false nine or defensive forward roles in 2015. I find the DF role particularly useful with wingers in games against tough opponents where you don't want any of your players too far from one another when the opponent is in possession. Central defenders have a much tougher time picking up your forward in this role, much like the false nine. But I usually play with a high gegenpressing style which is ideal for the DF. Work rate 20, determination 20, bravery 16+, aggression 16+, team work 16+, off the ball 16+, anticipation 16+, vision 12+, finishing 13/14, composure 14ish, tackling 11/12, shit heading, 11/12 first touch, 19 pace, 18/19 acceleration, 20 natural fitness and 18+ stamina. Should be an absolute animal. Will get none of that. Apart from his pace which is a little bit low, I think he's not too far off where he should be? It's too rare you see strikers nip the ball off defenders/midfielders in FM, which I think is a trademark of his game.
AKCJ Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 I've never really found a suitable formation for a defensive forward to be honest. I had Okazaki in a 4-2-3-1 as defensive forward top scorer in the Premier Leaue in february before he got injured.
Far Post Gerry Posted 16 October 2015 Posted 16 October 2015 Wonder what Kante's will be on the new version; he was awful on 15.
Frank to be Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 I play a defensive forward in a 41221 with inside forwards either side and any half decent striker with a bit of pace will score 0.8 goals per game at least. I had Guido Vadala in his peak and Carlos Fierro hitting a goal a game each rotating in the position.
Ozwin Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 On my save looking at Kante he didn't look bad at all. He was like 35 though so might have clouded my judgement a bit.
Finnegan Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 So Vardy should still have about 11 finishing, guys?
Dan Posted 19 October 2015 Author Posted 19 October 2015 I bet it's still no higher than 13. Mahrez should have dribbling of at LEAST 18.
Guest Posted 20 October 2015 Posted 20 October 2015 The wait for this has felt like an eternity. Still a few more weeks til I get annoyed at how shit our players are rated.
Dan Posted 21 October 2015 Author Posted 21 October 2015 I absolutely guarantee I end up getting proper into this Bari save on 15 as soon as this comes out. It happens every single year without fail.
Fox92 Posted 21 October 2015 Posted 21 October 2015 Vardy's finishing will be no higher than 13/14. I agree his pace, work rate, acceleration and maybe even aggression should be 17 - 20.
AjcW Posted 22 October 2015 Posted 22 October 2015 I absolutely guarantee I end up getting proper into this Bari save on 15 as soon as this comes out. It happens every single year without fail. Yep always the same! i'm hooked on a Portsmouth save at the minute! Interesting feature announced my Miles today.... at certain clubs you will be given the opportunity to move the current Manager to Director of Football when you take over!
AjcW Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 3 weeks today till release.... surely a demo this weekend? Fingers Crossed!
DB11 Posted 23 October 2015 Posted 23 October 2015 If you have pre-ordered it then you get access to the beta around two weeks before the full game is released. Surely the demo would be out before then otherwise why play the beta when you can play the full game, albeit only til January??

Surely the demo would be out before then otherwise why play the beta when you can play the full game, albeit only til January?? I don't think the demo comes out until the full release. Thus pre ordering is the only way to get access to the Beta. Although I think you can hold off until the beta is "released" and pre order then, and still get the beta.
stripeyfox Posted 27 October 2015 Posted 27 October 2015 I really like the look of this version. The interface looks cleaner and takes the improvements made last year on to the next level. I'm not bothered about huge new features. Incremental adjustments are fine. Effetively I pay £30 or so a year and get hundreds of hours play out of it so I can't complain about value.
Dan Posted 28 October 2015 Author Posted 28 October 2015 Someone I know who's played it is really impressed by it, says it's quite a jump up but it's really impressive. Really looking forward to it now.
Dan Posted 28 October 2015 Author Posted 28 October 2015 Ask him if Vardy is crap. I will do but he's anti-Vardy anyway so he'll probably make nothing of it
