Vardy is managing Bournemouth on my game. Just bagged Ishmael Miller as a scout, today is the day Wigan become a force again! 8 seasons 5 clubs. What a slut.

What a finish to the 18/19 season. Spent most of the season failing to find any consistent form, hanging around 6/7th until February where a little change in tactic and personnel put me on a magnificent run, finishing the season 2nd, 1 point behind United, then beating them in the FA Cup final, and then beat Real Madrid in the Champions League final. Just shows what a difference small changes can make I guess, and a bit of luck with keeping people fit.

Get in!

So Man City come in with a bid for Chillwell 4th season... i've not played him at all, been out on loan a few times and bagged a random England call up.

I'm planning to use him this season so their opening offer of 10mill I rejected... I put 30 mill in for a laugh and they're like "yh go on then" lol lol lol

Anyone got any experience with Ben, how good is he??

Turned it around a bit with Plymouth although our defence is still fairly horrible. Georg Iliev has been a bit of a revelation. Just played Leyton Orient at home, I was 1-3 down and facing a penalty in the 79th minute and didn't even lose the game.

Started as Leicester and have made some monster signings some how!

Balanta, Nacho, Cheryshev, Sandro & Douglas from Barca on loan, Dragowski and Zucillini.

Dragowski is a keeper, 17 and good enough to push Schmeichel already!

How the hell? I loaned him out for a couple of seasons and gave him some gave time here too but he never really progressed so ended up selling him on for about 2 or 3 million lol might have just been this save. perhaps on another one he actually reaches his potential.

I mean i'm not going to lie I did hesitate when they came in with that much money. But I snapped their hand off! I've got Cresswell, Fuchs and a young foreigner at left back so no need for him. Also he wont get a game for them and if needs be I could probably get him back on the cheap!

Only downside was the board taking 70% of it but I had a very good transfer budget already to be fair.

in relation to my posts earlier in this thread, Anthony Martial is now at a better club in Liverpool lol

But Rooney has been and managed Hull already (got sacked), Rio Ferdinand managing Bournemouth, Jose Mourinho managing Spain (!), David Moyes manages Juventus and for thos of interest, Nigel Pearson manages QPR.

New to FM and have got a few questions:

1. Some of my players are saying the workload in training is too much but I don't know how to reduce it?

2. Do people take a lot the advice given by the assistant manager during games?

3. Are you very decisive with your style of play or do you vary it depending on opponents and results?

Ignore them

2. Do people take a lot the advice given by the assistant manager during games?

Sometimes, but  i mainly trust my tactics

3. Are you very decisive with your style of play or do you vary it depending on opponents and results?

Change from defensive to attack depending on the situation  and opponent, but keep the same formation mainly, i  have 3 different ones, in case of injuries

1. You can reduce the workload of 'team training' in the equivalent tab. Unless they're important players or talented youngsters you want to improve, ignore it. Their complaints are most often down to professionalism (a hidden stat every player had). If the complaining players are young, you can try to get senior players with 'professional' in their description (personality or coach report) to tutor them.

2) No, hardly ever. To get anywhere close to decent advice, you need an assistant with high tactical knowledge and preferably good judgement of player ability.

3) Very. I play with the same formation 80-85 % of the time, only changing if I do not have the players available for those positions. in FM 2016, I've only used 1 formation with LCFC because the players are very versatile meaning I always have competent options.

So what sort of tactics are people having success with this year? Feel like I've cocked up my team instructions or something cos I'm conceding such easy goals.

Finally made it through a season without getting sacked!

Finished 5th in the south African first division, now i have to cut the wage bill by half and do better, trying to negotiate more wage bill and budget into my new contract

Fallen to pieces in the 4th season... even worse as spent the most so far :( don't think i've got long left!

I am absolutely hopeless this year. Utterly, utterly useless. Either that or Plymouth is just an impossible game. They are so shit it's unreal. Their defence is the worst I have ever managed in about a million hours of playing the game. Pathetic vermin creatures they are.

Has anybody got Milik this year?

Somehow convinced him to join so I've just left my game on him 'set to sign'. He had a great season for Ajax last season meaning they wanted £9million for him. Don't know what to do. Fed up with Kramaric being shit so I could do with another striker.

I signed him for about 2m.

He's unreal as a defensive forward with Embolo.

So i gave in and bought this(normally wait till after January/February update)

Started as Leicester with first window budgets disabled and playing with sunday league rep and no quals.

First game at home v palace playing with a 4-1-2-3(W)

                                                        Kasper

                De laet(FB(au))    Huth(CD)   Morgan(CD)   Fuchs(WB(s))

                                               Inler(DLP(d))

                              Kante(BBM(S))     Drinkwater(AP(a))

            Mahrez(IF(s)                                             Kram(IF(a))

                                               Vardy(AF(a))

Team instructions:

Retain possession

Play out of defence

Work ball into box

Whipped crosses

Look for overlap

Get stuck in

Tighter marking

More disciplined

Prevent GK distribution

Won 5-3 and Vardy scoring all 5!!!
need to find a decent tactic to fall back on when leading as i was 4-1 up then 4-3 and shitting it. also it looks like crosses are massively overpowered as 7 out of the 8 goals were from crosses.

Not a bad start. Anyone got tips on players come jan transfer window??

As most would agree, Geronimo Rulli on an approach to sign is a must. (On my game I had him one season and PSG bought him for over 30 mill, and he isn't even that out of this world)

Try get Peruzzi too, he still may be quite cheap. He's not as good as he was in previous games, but is still an improvement on De Laet.

Is Fuchs as big a boss for everyone on this game as he was for me?

I can't recommend 4-4-2 highly enough, it's almost like FM have tried to replicate how much it takes teams by surprise IRL at the minute.

I don't faf about with a number 10 off vardy though I prefer the Ulloa target man with vardy off him style.

I've had success with Benteke and now a regen called Marc Delecoe who I signed from Man City a couple of months after they'd signed him from Blackburn lol

JV still going strong in the 4th season! Quite pleased as I nearly accepted 15 mill off a chinese side last season.
