Based on my experience with Leicester I'd say focus on buying a left-winger (I keep mentioning Kakuta because he's bossing it for me - I got him for just £6.5m but I'm pretty sure he was a fair bit cheaper than his value because he'd fallen out with his club and unfortunately you can't guarantee that will happen in your game) and a cm with decent tackling (Marcelo Meli cost me £4.5m and £34k/w). Mammana at CB is a must buy - you shouldn't have much trouble getting him in the first window. I get my best matches playing a 4-2-4 like so:

Kramaric (P) Vardy (DFs)

Kakuta (Wa) Albrighton (Ws).

Kante (BBM) Meli (BWMs)

Fuchs (WBauto) Huth (CDd) Mammana (CDd) Vrsaljko (WBauto)

Schmeichel (Gd)

Shape: Standard. Tempo: Higher. Defensive line: Higher. Width: Fairly wide. Closing down: More. Build-Up: Clear ball to flanks. Attack: Hit early crosses. Passing directness: More direct.

I win more than I lose against the big teams and I lose matches I really shouldn't far less frequently when I use this formation. The trouble for me is I have to try to avoid it right now because I have Lodeiro, Khazri, and Wilshere to make room for and the easiest way to do that is by having an AMC... Oh and Albrighton instead of Mahrez is no joke by the way: In the Premier League 16/17 Albrighton played 20 with 4 goals, 17 assists, and a 7.77 average rating against Mahrez's 22 played, 7 goals, 3 assists, 7.25 average rating. Barmy but true.

I left Vrsaljko out of my suggestions to buy up there because once you've found and purchased a left winger that you like along with Meli and Mammana you probably won't have enough money left but if you do, buy him! Also look out for Rulli in goal - he's available on a free at the end of the first season and he looks like he'll be one of the best keepers in the game.

Cheers! Will have to give this a try. Can't be no worse than what I'm doing.

I've had a good transfer window:  Offloaded the under-performing Khazri and Schlupp for decent enough fees and I even got a bit of spending money for a Fuchs in severe decline.  In return I get to add Embolo, Castillejo, and Augustinsson to the squad with Foulquier hopefully on his way in to replace the outgoing De Laet as a cheaper, more content back-up to Vrsaljko.

I still can't get over how much of a boss Albrighton is with his ungodly crossing in this game.

Ah, well at least he didn't go to Lyon or some less reputable club. Tough to compete with Arsenal's wage and the Prem pulling power compared to Serie A.

Have you noticed how the injuries arise, what type of injuries they are and whether some of those players are injury prone? Genuinely curious about it as training injuries could've been tweaked (i.e. high workload in training will increase number of injuries).

I remember in previous versions that the discipline attribute for coaches could also adversely affect training injuries if it was particularly high.

It is, but it didn't annoy me as much as missing out on Barbosa to Porto. That was embarrassing.

I do have a high workload so I've probably only got myself to blame. Will lower that when they have a busier period of the season in future. Learn from the mistakes.

Think we're going to win the league after all. There was quite a scare as I went and lost to Chievo, Sassuolo (AGAIN) and Udinese in a row, but we've just won at the Olimpico twice and beaten Palermo at home, leaving us six clear with as many games left.

Bit of a conundrum for next season though. Pogba doesn't want to sign a new deal and his deal is up next summer. I'm going to cash in although he will be practically impossible to directly replace. Got my eye on Verratti but he'll cost me a fortune. I've also got Bentancur coming in but he won't hit the kind of heights Pogba has done. Marchisio will be 32 next season as well.

Managing a top side can be easy but you're still faced with plenty of banana skins in my opinion that makes it quite intriguing.

3rd season with Portsmouth in the championship, went for Adam le Fondre on a free and he wanted 30k!

Instead he accepted bottom of league one Bolton on -12 on 3k a week...

I don't understand why some free agents don't want to join me in the championship or want a really high wage but then join a lower league team?

Got this as an early christmas present, starting a new pentagon save straight off. Currently on the finding employment stage....

Just got this.

Gone all DanLCFC and started as Le Havre with the aims of getting Mahrez back one day.

Hate the start of the game where a professional team's familiarity with a basic formation is zero. What's that all about? So yeah, just working my way through the early days at the minute, it's pretty tough.

Finished my third season. Third for the past three seasons.

Lost on the last day of the season against Man Utd and they got second.

Offloaded a few players, signed Timo Werner from Barca for 9m and he's class. Embolo just won the golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup.

My team all of a sudden like to miss sitters from crosses. And I mean blatant sitters from six-yard box. Fuch knows why.

Fuching hate runs like that.  I still haven't figured out what you can do about it other than switch strikers until one sticks and hope that the game generates equally shit performances for your rivals in the meantime.  I started my first season really well with Vardy's performances making him easily the best striker in the league, we were looking like a strong title contender, then suddenly this happened and Vardy scored like 2 in 8 and I ended up scraping 4th place thanks to a resurgent Kram.

Pissed the league in the end. As per though, I struggle to motivate myself to do another season after taking the title, so it's time for a challenge! Plymouth Argyle it is.

Well... that was the best first season I've ever had in any CM/FM game!

Premier League champions, having been through a 25-game unbeaten run and very nearly blowing a 12-point lead, only to win the final game away to Sunderland to send them down and get Ranieri sacked...

Runner-up in the FA Cup after a penalty defeat to runners-up in the league Arsenal.

Best Leicester player in the league? Kanté with a 7.5 average and now worth 25 mil !!!

Anyone finding the game freezes when advancing the calendar?

Never had a FM before, and looking to get it. Is it worth it?

I used to like FIFA but have now got bored of it being unrealistic so thought FM would be good for a change

Maybe find a cheap older version and try that, before spending £25 on the latest one

Not had that happen, but thought I had, sat there for 5 minutes wondering why nothing had happened before realising I had hit the button that drops down the calendar at the top haha.

My internet went down the other day and I had a fair amount of crashes playing offline, but I've not had any problems playing connected.

I cannot believe they've still got the scenario on the game where you can hit the bar from a bit of an angle and the ball bounces out back towards the player who shot.

I can't believe they have the goalkeeper clears the ball and hits opposition player in face still on the game. Happened to me once on the whole of FM15, but it happened to me twice this season (in two consecutive games).

Managed to royally **** up my team that was already bad in the January transfer window sold Vardy and Okazaki just before the window shut, tried to sign about 5 different strikers and failed left me with just Embolo up front who has scored 4 goals all season, 2 months later ive got Santi Mina in on loan from Valencia who is doing ok and signed the legend that is Robinho on a free transfer and im doing better than I was doing earlier in the season. currently 14th but now 9 points above relegation zone.

And the results since I said my 1st positive thing about the game.

Leicester 0-1 Sunderland

Liverpool 2-1 Leicester

Swansea 4-1 Leicester

Leicester 0-1 Southampton

I actually cannot stand this game is does my head in, im hating it even when im winning games im not enjoying it. Its just stupid if I lose a game I can basically write off the next 10 games as un winnable no matter what I try and who I play.

Perhaps its just my Leicester save and I need to try another team but just not at all been impressed by the game so far I cant get into it at all.
