"FC Copenhagen manager Ståle Solbakken will only let Daniel Amartey go for a large sum. Nicolai Jørgensen and Thomas Delaney hope the Ghanaian stays.

FC Copenhagen are out of the Europa League after Thursday's  defeat to Jablonec, and the question is if the club can hold on to midfield profile Daniel Amartey.

Indeed, and I'm surprised they've turned down the offer (if it's near the reported €8m) considering they sold Cornelius for around that amount two years ago.

They must know that we are willing to spend.

Can't see them turning down £7m + add-ons.

Is he worth it, lets find out, Danish football is not brimming with money so hopefully we put a decent bid in and lets get the guy, if the interest comes from our scouting network and not just twitter accounts hope we do it.

Hard to gauge really. No doubt he will develop into a powerful midfielder that would match the physical requirements of the Premier League, but I don't think he's technically up to scratch yet.

He's still very young though and will doubtless attract more offers from clubs like West Ham, Marseille and Bayer Leverkusen in the future...

 

Edit: Also, I haven't watched that much of the Danish Superliga these past six months so I'm not that much of an expert.

I emailed a couple of my Danish friends about him who are also FC Copenhagen fans. This is what they emailed back:

 

Poperly the best defensive mf in the danish league and is only 21. Will become very very good. Has developed a lot in his one year in copenhagen. 

But that a lot of money.

Agree entirely. Can play a decent CB too.
 
6 £ is a bit steep, but if he continues to develop his game then it can end as a good deal.

Wasn't Hesket both the quick and the strong?
