Jordan Posted 6 August 2015 Posted 6 August 2015 If Kante - Amartey are partnering, it's fit for holding mid in a 4-2-3-1 If Kanté and Amartey pair up in the midfield, it would be the best quick/strong partnership the club has had since Cottee and Heskey
shen Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 "FC Copenhagen manager Ståle Solbakken will only let Daniel Amartey go for a large sum. Nicolai Jørgensen and Thomas Delaney hope the Ghanaian stays.FC Copenhagen are out of the Europa League after Thursday's defeat to Jablonec, and the question is if the club can hold on to midfield profile Daniel Amartey.Premier League club Leicester is allegedly very interested, but the manager Ståle Solbakken will only let go of the Ghanaian for an extraordinarily large sum.- Daniel is happy to be at FCK and is still developing. There hasn't been a large enough bid yet, and it has to be large if we are to sell.- He is not going to get worse by staying here another year, and maybe we can sell him for twice as much in a year, who knows, says Solbakken, who will not talk about specific amounts.- But I know where to draw the line.Nicolai Jørgensen hope and believe Amartey will stay at FC Copenhagen.- Daniel is a great talent who is important for the squad. His time will come, and right now we need him here with us. Also, I think he wants to stay a while. I'm not afraid that he will be sold, says Jorgensen and praises the Ghanaian:- He was a little inconsistent with his passes in the beginning, but now he has become an outstanding midfielder. Alongside Thomas Delaney, they form a great central midfield. Also the captain Delaney hope Amartey becomes.- I learned long ago that one should not worry about who stays and who goes. It is up to managers to decide.- Daniel is a very good player, and it's great with a partner who works just as hard as me. His work rate gives me a more opportunities to make some offensive run. But he's also only 20 years old, he can become even better, says Delaney.Even the main character is coy about his future.- I do not have much to say. I have time left on my contract, and what else that might happen, my agent and the club take care of. I now focus on the league and to become champion, says Amartey.FC Copenhagen fetched Amartey last summer in Swedish Djurgården." Finnegan Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 What would you consider a big offer for Copenhagen, shen? 8m a lot of money for a Danish club, surely?
shen Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 What would you consider a big offer for Copenhagen, shen? 8m a lot of money for a Danish club, surely? Indeed, and I'm surprised they've turned down the offer (if it's near the reported €8m) considering they sold Cornelius for around that amount two years ago. They must know that we are willing to spend. Can't see them turning down £7m + add-ons.

katieakita Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Is he worth it, lets find out, Danish football is not brimming with money so hopefully we put a decent bid in and lets get the guy, if the interest comes from our scouting network and not just twitter accounts hope we do it.
shen Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Is he worth it? You must be the only one who knows anything other than an amazing YouTube clip? Hard to gauge really. No doubt he will develop into a powerful midfielder that would match the physical requirements of the Premier League, but I don't think he's technically up to scratch yet. He's still very young though and will doubtless attract more offers from clubs like West Ham, Marseille and Bayer Leverkusen in the future... Edit: Also, I haven't watched that much of the Danish Superliga these past six months so I'm not that much of an expert.
Gerard Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 I emailed a couple of my Danish friends about him who are also FC Copenhagen fans. This is what they emailed back: Poperly the best defensive mf in the danish league and is only 21. Will become very very good. Has developed a lot in his one year in copenhagen. But that a lot of money. ------------------------------------------------------ Agree entirely. Can play a decent CB too. 6 £ is a bit steep, but if he continues to develop his game then it can end as a good deal. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Not really rivetting and insightful information but I thought I'd post it anyway.
