Collymore Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 This is brilliant so far. BUT........... I do feel we are not very good unless we're moving the ball quickly and countering. There were a few times during the closing stages of the first half where we started to break and the players thought "lets just slow it down a bit". Everytime this happened it led to West Ham gaining possession quickly and creating dangerous situations. We need to work on possession football on the training ground in the mean time I think we should just attack attack attack no matter what. We're not good enough at the moment in possession to kill a game.
lgfualol Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 I bet Maddison was thinking "oh shit I have to play"
st albans fox Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Now we will see what a 'tactically sound manager' does from this position. If we fail to win (apart from very bad luck) then he isn't that. Very interesting 45 upcoming
foxes_rule1978 Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 West Ham trying possession football but going nowhere, within seconds we have it in back of the net..
RedSoxUK Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Think we're very lucky not to have Schmeichel sent off, a youth GK on and Okazaki replaced for him. So lets make the best of it.
matty98 Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Schmeichel's distribution wins us far more games than his mistakes lose us games, he's an important part of how we play.
st albans fox Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Only if the ref didn't see the incident Not even if that - it wasn't violent conduct
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 IF WE WIN THIS I WILL BE FOREVER BLOWING BUBBLE
Aus Fox Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Kasper makes some great saves and then he also does stuff like that. The second goal we conceded last week was because of him running off of his line like that. If he doesn't come running off his line there it's 2-1. Has to come out an narrow the angle. The West Ham boy ran into his arm, not a penalty for me.
Corky Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Now we will see what a 'tactically sound manager' does from this position. If we fail to win (apart from very bad luck) then he isn't that. Very interesting 45 upcoming Absolutely, Pearson tended to look at a hold what we have style which did invite pressure. We need to find the balance because we have so much pace on the break.
Carl the Llama Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 IF WE WIN THIS I WILL BE FOREVER BLOWING BUBBLE Who's he?
st albans fox Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Schmeichel's distribution wins us far more games than his mistakes lose us games, he's an important part of how we play. Generally agree but why he thought it was a good idea to launch it whilst shinji was still down and under no pressure in injury time in not quite sure
HoustonFox Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 If we win now, I bet the papers put it down to schmeichel not getting sent off rather than us being better
Merging Cultures Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 IF WE WIN THIS I WILL BE FOREVER BLOWING BUBBLEI bet you can blow bubbles and smoke rings from your rear end too
ARM1968 Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Great position to be in. Just got to keep at it and hit them as they come on to us.
EnglishOxide Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 Absolutely idiotic from Schmeichel, what is he playing at there. Very lucky boy and he'll be lucky not to be replaced in the team if he carries on like that Its one mistake. Calm down.
sphericalfox Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 With Kante on the bench if things get tasty, he'll be on to soak up the pressure. Despite what clearly was a foul and peno, we have been excellent. If we get Inler in....holy shit.
filbertstreet Posted 15 August 2015 Posted 15 August 2015 is this my fifa 15 game or real life? cracking first half
