kingfox Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 This is our best chance of beating Spurs, their defence has weaknesses especially down the right side, their midfield is pretty average in my opinion, especially if it contains Dier & Mason. As many have said we just have to keep Eriksen quiet, if we keep the same 11 no doubt he will bring Kante or Inler on if Eriksen gives us problems. Get at their defence, exploit Walker or Tripper in particular & keep Eriksen out of the game then I'm confident we can pick up another win.
FoxinNotts Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 Remember when Kaamark did a man marking job on Juninho? I'd love to see us box clever and repeat this feat on Ericsen on Saturday. Massive match. To go 3 wins in a row at the start of the season is some marker to lay down. Do this and it would be hard to envisage us getting relegated, which is some statement.
VLC86 Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 Do this and it would be hard to envisage us getting relegated, which is some statement. I think people are getting a little bit carried away. Remember the really shite runs we went on last season? Another one of them on the back of 3 wins in a row would put us in the bottom 3. Yes the squad is stronger, yes we now have a years experience under our belts but to say it would be hard to envisage us getting relegated if we win 3 in a row is a little bit daft. Its a long season and anything can happen so lets not get too carried away.

Yea they had a hell of a team how the **** did they get relegated with that team? I remember watching them destroy us on the break in a league game at filbert street, I blinked and we where 3 nil down already was insane probably the best player i ever watched Juninho

If we can get 10 points from our opening 5 matches, I'd be happy.
weller54 Posted 19 August 2015 Author Posted 19 August 2015 Our bench alone should scare the sh1t out of them!!!
Liam380 Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 This will be our toughest test so far, but I think we can get something out of the game. Going forward we are a constant threat to any team. Really impressed with Okazaki! Maybe Claudio will tinker with the team a little?, bring Kante or Inler into the starting line up?. It would be hard as everyone's played so well!
Father Ted Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 Surely it's not just me that thinks Spurs have been hugely punching above their weight? They beat us twice last year when arguably it could have been us doing the double over them with our performances. Harry Kane will struggle this season, having not had a break over the summer, it's inevitable. If Eriksen goes too then I think they could be in real trouble. Mason and Bentaleb as a midfield pairing, in my opinion, is bottom 5. Think we'll do them 3-1.
biggs Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 ok we have 2 wins in a row and some new talent but the new boys still need to adapt to the team. It's never instant karma. Give the team some time to settle and unite and expect this match to be more of a test the entire game than the first 2.

Okazaki's tireless hard work up top applying the pressure is creating alot of chances. I wouldn't change the side for saturday. However i can see King eventually having to make way for Inler at some point.
Austin Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 Would take a draw now.. I reckon we can beat them though!
biggs Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 Love this from their forum: Leicester have won 28 out of the last 33 points available to them.... un ****ing real
Deucalion Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 I think we need to keep our realistic heads on after two great results. Much as I would love us to, we are probably not going to finish in the top 4. We are going to lose points somewhere. We can beat Spurs, but it is slightly more probable that they will beat us. A Spurs win is more likely if we go into the game expecting a win rather than hoping for one. Enjoy the ride, and whatever you do, get behind the team. Six points entitles us to nothing in a Premier League season.
FoxinNotts Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 Six points entitles us to nothing in a Premier League season. True, but 9 points is 20% of the safety target, after just three games. Plus, it's wholly achievable, but we do need to pick up the points in the early games as we have a relatively favourable start.

More than 20%, you're talking around 35/36 to be safe normally, it'd be a quarter of the way there.
Corky Posted 19 August 2015 Posted 19 August 2015 We played exceptionally well against them last season during an appalling run. Now we are playing with real confidence and on a storming run- there's nothing to fear about any team. We prove we're a decent side when we attack the opposition and no reason to change for this one. I fancy it will be tight, a win would be fantastic but a draw wouldn't be a terrible result either.
EnglishOxide Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 I tend to agree that Harry Kane won't have as good a season as last season, but make no mistake he can turn it on. He single handedly destroyed Chelsea in that 5-3. We shouldn't be writing him off yet, he is still their best player and surrounded by good quality players like he is, its only a matter of time until some form returns.
jammie82uk Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 stat time Leicester City have won four successive home games - they haven't won five in a row in the top-flight since April 1984. Tottenham have won 10 points from a possible 12 in their last four Premier League games against the Foxes (W3 D1). Harry Kane has scored four Premier League goals against Leicester City; more than versus any other opponent. Kane scored a hat-trick in the last meeting between these two sides (March 2015); his only PL treble to date. Leicester City have never won their opening three matches to a top-flight season. Despite winning all six points available so far this season, Leicester City have completed fewer passes in their opening two games than any other side (407). Tottenham Hotspur have conceded more penalties than any other Premier League side since the start of last season (8). Leicester City have won 28 Premier League points since April 1st 2015; more than any other side. The Foxes' Riyad Mahrez has scored five goals in his last five Premier League appearances. Mahrez has attempted eight shots (excl. blocked) in the opening two matchdays of 2015-16; more than any other player in the Premier League.
jammie82uk Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 Pochettino wary of in-form hosts Tottenham head to Leicester City in the Premier League looking for a first win of the season. Leicester City find themselves in illustrious company at the top of the Premier League following their first two games of the season. Ahead of Saturday's clash with Tottenham at the King Power Stadium, Claudio Ranieri's side are one of just four teams - along with Liverpool and the two Manchester clubs - to have claimed maximum points so far. A 4-2 win over Sunderland and a 2-1 victory at West Ham have provided Leicester with a firm foundation upon which to build as they bid to avoid a similar relegation scrap to last season. The Midlands club, who brought in Swiss international Gokhan Inler this week, are on a run of four home victories in the league and have not won five on the bounce in the top flight since 1984. In addition, Leicester have never opened a season in the top division with three victories, meaning Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino is expecting a tough encounter. "They've started very well," he said. "I think they played very well last season, they signed some very good players, got good organisation. "Ranieri has a lot of experience in football and they've started the season very well. "We expect a very tough game against Leicester." Pochettino should feel relatively confident heading to Leicester, with Harry Kane having netted a hat-trick in a 4-3 win when the sides last met at White Hart Lane back in March. But Tottenham have just one point from their opening two fixtures - losing 1-0 at Manchester United before squandering a two-goal advantage in a 2-2 home draw with Stoke City last weekend. And, while he is generally happy with his team's performances, Pochettino believes there is plenty of room for improvement. "The Premier League is very long and we need to keep the same level," he added. "We need to improve in areas like the defence and we need to be more consistent. "I think everyone says that we need an offensive player but we need to be more consistent because we conceded a lot of goals last season and scoring wasn't our problem. "The problem was that we concede a lot of goals and that's something that we need to improve this season." Leicester are without Matty James (knee), while Andros Townsend (ankle) remains a doubt for Tottenham, who could include forward Clinton N'Jie - signed from Lyon last weekend - for the first time.
Guest Manini Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 Tough game this. I can see us dominating for long periods of the match but getting caught on the break or something. I reckon we'll get had off by a dodgy refereeing decision as well, either a penalty or a red card, just a hunch. Going for 1-2 Spurs but we'll play well again. Jeff with our goal and Harry Kane with theirs if he's fit, if not probably somebody like Erikson to get one and Chadli to get the other.
Wymsey Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 I like Pochettino, very truthful and tells it as it is unlike most of their fans.
SecretPro Posted 20 August 2015 Posted 20 August 2015 Think this could be a good game to watch, I always like City V spurs for some reason. It's a tough game too because although Spurs often cruise through much of the season in 'average' mode, on their day they can match any team in the league. I'm trying not to get too carried away, but I reckon this could be another city win, Imagine that? 3 straight wins for the first three games? Just looking at our bench on Saturday will give me a stiffy. With Kane not bagging at the minute and some transfer speculation around a few players I think this game is here for the taking. If we go out there from the off with intentions of winning and without fear then I'm going to say a city 3-1.
