foxychik Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Haven't seen anyone mention Junior bleedin' Lewis!!! I still get an involuntary twitch if I walk into j.lewis ..... And to think we were where more or less in the same position as we are now when we signed him must be the worst signing we ever made ...
Mad Dog Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Alex Bruce! Andy Welsh Harry Worley Kelvin Etuhu Lee Hendrie Jamie Clapham Radostin Kishishev Bruno N'Gotty James Chambers Márton Fülöp (was decent) Collins John Clive Clarke We were so horrible
AKCJ Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Saw a bit in the paper the other day about Harry Worley.
melrose Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 Kevin "Rooster" Russell How can anyone forget the Rooster?
Jon the Hat Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 Mark Davies in league one, when he was tearing up League one defences for about 4 games and then Bolton with Megson in charge took him off us! I had forgotten all about Gary ****ing Megson. Thanks.
Jon the Hat Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 Davor Suker. Sweet left peg. Really? Shit. When?
Captain... Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 Haven't seen anyone mention Junior bleedin' Lewis!!! It's players we have forgotten played for us, not players who had forgotten how to play football.
Dan Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 In hindsight it never fails to amaze me how it took us until 2008 to go down. We were 24 carat dross.
Corky Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 In hindsight it never fails to amaze me how it took us until 2008 to go down. We were 24 carat dross. I remember the away end joyously singing "We are staying up" at Barnsley in 2007. Now, part of the reaction was the delight that Leeds (and more specifically Wise) had been relegated, and of course relief involved too, but later on you sit and think- "Why are we joyously celebrating staying out of the bottom three of the Championship?" We won roughly 12-13 games a season for four years- it was pathetic.
Buzzell Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 In hindsight it never fails to amaze me how it took us until 2008 to go down. We were 24 carat dross. The best thing to ever happen to us.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 In hindsight it never fails to amaze me how it took us until 2008 to go down. We were 24 carat dross. you look back at some of those teams and man, I think it says a lot about the growth of the championship these days when you can comfortably say we would've been a league two side in this current generation.
fazzyfox Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 That big eastern European striker we got from Pompey on a free who played a blinder against us once, but then was shite and loaned out to an eastern European club. What was his name? Fuctas ...over, receiving wages for those performances, he certainly did
1972 Fox Posted 29 August 2015 Posted 29 August 2015 I wish I could forget that Alan "Tank" Rogers and Rab Douglas had played for us but unfortunately the thought of those two still gives me nightmares.
