Players You Think Are Awful

Conor Sammon.

He should be a defender more than anything else; good in the air, strong, tells others around him what to do, and just crap at hitting the target.

Think im going to put Jordon Ibe in this category.

Does absolutely nothing for me when I watch him.

Wtf.

73 in 124 for Huddersfield and currently 82 in 154 for Blackburn suggests differently...

In the championship pal.

People talk of him like he should be England's number 9

Rooney - His scoring record really isnt that great.

Carroll - All gone wrong since leaving Newcastle

Hart - Seems to be living off the hype around him a few years ago. Nothing special imo.

Rio Ferdinand - Was a average player in a quality team.

Balloteli - Just a terrible player with a terrible attitude.

Welbeck - Average player.

He is a quality player, there is no argument with his goal record.

He scored for fun in League One.

Huddersfield promoted / he signs for Blackburn = "he won't score in the Championship".

Scores for fun in the Championship = "it's only the Championship".

What a load of shite people talk. He has scored for fun in recent seasons and I'd like to see him in the PL.

PS, he plays for Scotland.

Fergie ruined him. Over played him when he was really young, then changed his position to take everything that made him special away and just turned him into an out and out goalscorer. Rooney was great when dropping off the front and running at players but Fergie coached that out of him. I wish he'd stayed at Everton or Arsenal had picked him up. Like you say he's just become a bog standered attacking midfielder now.

I'm not having that turning him into an 'out and out goalscorer' ruined him at all, 2009-2010 he was genuinely knocking on the door of Messi and Ronaldo as the best player on the planet and I won't hear otherwise. Picked up that injury in Munich and never quite recovered, immediately after recovering had a gsah world cup and hasn't looked the same since. For me that say s more about his mentality than anybody that's coached him.

It's fashionable to lambast him and although he may well have now lost that spark, he's been a phenomenal player for Yanited - you don't build up the kind of stats he has by chance. Such a shame that in this country we build someone up after three decent games and are rapid to completely slag them after one bad one. There's never any middle ground with anyone in England contention.

Disagree on that one, very underrated player.

Jordan Rhodes has scored 28,25 and 21 goals in his last 3 seasons in the championship.

Absolutely no argument that he isnt good enough for the premier league or is a awful player like the thread was asking for.

If you weren't being serious (not sure with the 'whoosh') then apologies, but I do get fed up when people actually say it and mean it. His name doesn't belong in this thread.

Rooney as good as Messi & Ronaldo lol lol

The closest that Rooney has ever been too there level was in 2004 and looking back now that was a flash in the pan.

Messi & Ronaldo have been able to change games in the blink of an eye on a regular basis and win games. Rooney hasn't.

The England thing was, of course, a joke.

Agreed. And although his stats at United are good I don't support them, I support England where he's never done the business when it mattered

Isn't this the 'awful' thread?

Did someone post Rhodes and Shelvey?
