Players You Think Are Awful

Recommended Posts

Alan Hutton - terrible at defending, but decent going forward

Gestede - probably wouldn't be able to hit a barn door and slow

Jon Stead - woeful when ball is at feet.

Gomis - not actually a bad player, but doesn't offer much and glad he doesn't score many considering his weird tiger claw celebrations.

Players who are awful:

Goalkeepers:

John Ruddy: A big man that isnt brave, doesnt command the box, command the back 4 and isnt a good shot stopper. Extremely poor.

Defenders:

Maya Yoshida: Seems to be prone to shocking errors in just about every game he plays, lacks concentration and awareness, and generally very poor.

Geoff Cameron: Rash, unconvicing with no composure.

Eliaquim Mangala: Rash, tries to get in front of people and nick the ball needlessly, gives away needless free kicks, lacks awareness and concentration

Callum Chambers: Moves like a slug in salt, gets booked every game and is beyond overrated

Midfielders:

Ibrahim Affellay: Despite the hype, has produced nothing in his career at stoke, or his career period. Wades through treacle as he runs. Awful.

Lee Tomlin: Fat, unfit and totally shit. If he wasnt playing for plucky little Bournemouth then people would just admit he is shit.

Aaron Lennon: Put your head down and run, and do it with absolutely zero quality.

John Obi Mikel: Simply useless. Offers absolutely nothing in a positive sense.

Strikers:

Andy Carroll: Injury prone, literally cannot move, and there is no role in the game anymore for this kind of player.

Rudy Gestede: Like Andy Carroll minus the injury proneness

Add into this list a good 95% of the championship too.

Hulk from Zenit. Every time I watch him play he's blazing over about 10 shots a game with a combined distance from goal of about 19 miles. Am I missing something with him?

Well, this season, he's took the piss every single time I've seen him lol

I agree. I'm 99% sure he'll be there and he'll be starting every game he's fit for which is just plain laughable really and sums up England

You've only got to look at Rooney's style of play these days to know how much passion he's lost for the game.

Stupidly overpaid and United fans must be losing patience with him.

As much stick as he got for being a hothead back in the day, he was a far better player.

You could also rephrase the original thread title and ask which players made an awful career choice.

Apart from that, I'd like to nominate

Lee ****ing Cattermole

Jordan Veretout (it's the Aston Villa factor)

James McClean (wrong contact sport)

Diego Costa (should seek a career in the movies)

Sebastian Coates.....is absolutely fookin awful.

John OShea

In fact, Sunderland's back four...all utter dross.

I'd like to reiterate Billy Jones as being awful, but also the whole of West Brom

Imagine having James Morrison, Chris Brunt, Ricky Lambert and Rondon as your main attacking sparks

Billy Jones plays for Sunderland, but yeah, WBA are awful. James McClean being the prime example, brings no talent just problems on and off the pitch. Says a lot about Pulis and WBA when they'd rather player Craig Gardner as a wide attacking midfielder than Sessegnon.

on the train back last night from the game and see a stat about Gareth Barry playing in his 100th Everton game.

Genuinely didn't realise he was playing.

Wayne Rooney was good between 2002-2006 but I never felt we seen his full potential, Everton were the one to get the best out of him. When he went to Man U i felt he wasn't the same player.

Haha he was involved quite a lot. The main highlight for him was probably getting close enough to mahrez to actually foul him.

You didn't realise he was playing? He was involved a hell of a lot, generally just bringing down our players (should have been sent off), but did stop a lot too. Tides up very well.

He should of been sent off last season on the opening day against us aswell.

Never realised how much of a dirty player he is until he played against us over the last couple of seasons.
