Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 We've seen Lukaku bully and out-muscle so many defenders this season, especially playing with his back to goal. In Was, Wes, and Huth we have 3 central defenders who are so strong and actually love a physical battle, and who can all play with each other. With the addition of Fuchs (what a player!) and the reintroduction of Simpson we look really competent at the back now.

First thing he had to do was be switched on to turn a dangerous cross out for a corner which you'd expect someone lacking match practice to simply miss. Love this squad, the players coming in never worried me. A friend of mine claims an injury to Mahrez and we'd be in trouble, to which I just chuckled. I truely believe we can cope without any one player except JV and even then Kram could surprise us.
Guest Posted 20 December 2015 Posted 20 December 2015 I thought Was was great yesterday. As good as Morgan and Fuchs, better than Simpson and Kasper in what was a very solid defence well supported by the midfield and attackers. both goals were scrambles that we could have cleared.

A good honest pro who is part of a squad one of the lads if you like, must be a good if not scary player to have around which i so important

Center back could be strengthened and his contract runs out, but he seems to be a great character to have around the squad..
