BoyJones Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Seems a decent enough lad, but my impression of him is that he is a bit cumbersome. Doesn't read the game well, first touch lets him down and distribution could be better. However, as his goal for England showed, he has got something, just doesn't show it often enough. If he doesn't show progression after this latest loan move, cash in IMO.
fleckneymike Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 From his albeit brief career here it was the speed at which he learnt which held him back. Certain things he'd do wrong once and never again but others he seemed slower to shake off. The primary one was his propensity to drop towards his own goal and play opponents on side. This is something which cannot be rectified through training alone and so a run of games elsewhere will determine whether it is something he can overcome.
st albans fox Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Centre back is a position where late devloping is a common theme. plenty of promising centre halves that seem to lose their way in their early twenties. Liam can learn to overcome his propensity to drop too deep when things get tricky (and his habit of losing his man over his shoulder). he could become a good centre half. We have seen plenty leave LCFC and develop into decent players elsewhere. given his age, I don't think Liam will be a success here (unless we bring him back in his late twenties).
Guest Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 He's young and still has great potential. Too many writing him off because he isn't Tiago at 21.
Father Ted Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Unfortunately, his greatest attributes are not footballing but more his athleticism, strength and bravery. His general positioning, marking and distribution leaves a lot to be desired for.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Liam Moore starting in a three man defence for Bristol City here today with Ben Hamer dropped to the bench.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Bristol City conceded within 10 minutes And 2-0 down in 20 minutes.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Bristol City now 3-1 down before half time.
filbertstreet Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 so he's off to a league 2 team next year then
LCCFox96 Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Bristol City now 3-1 down before half time. Has he been at fault or is the team just struggling in general?
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Has he been at fault or is the team just struggling in general? Two debutants in the back three (Moore and Baker). No-one covering themselves in much glory.
LCCFox96 Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Two debutants in the back three (Moore and Baker). No-one covering themselves in much glory. Hmm Baker in a similar situation at Villa to Moore here. Young-ish and can't quite step up to the first team regularly enough. Interesting to see how both do this season.
BoyJones Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 At least it looks like Moore didn't give away the penalty.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 At least it looks like Moore didn't give away the penalty. Yes, it was Baker. Looked a soft decision. Toral seemed to just run into him.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 Liam Moore now been booked for a late challenge.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 63rd minute... Liam Moore hauled off. Gets no better for the lad.
Countryfox Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 This, if you completely ignore the fact he actually isn't very good. Oh dear Moore off .... Maybe you've got a point Costock. Hope things get better but it don't look good ...
Tuna Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 His confidence seems shot...being taken off won't help him at all.
johnny the fox Posted 12 September 2015 Posted 12 September 2015 His confidence seems shot...being taken off won't help him at all. nobody can anything about it but himself...its down to him..
MC Prussian Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Must've had a terrible game this evening - substituted after 65 minutes, with the Brizzle already 1-0 down at Preston.
VLC86 Posted 15 September 2015 Posted 15 September 2015 Really feel for the lad atm. He's got it pretty bad, probably on about £10,000 a week and works 15 hours a week. So sad
