Liam Moore - Bristol City

Some snippets from the Brizzle forum from yesterday's game:

Moore - 5 - distribution is not good enough to do the job he needs to in that position

Definitely think you're being harsh on Moore, looked very solid defensively and imo looked alright taking the ball forward. Definitely a 7 for me.

Moore - looked solid defensively and alright with the ball at his feet

I'm glad he's playing for a side that will struggle in a tough league - he'll learn some valuable lessons.

Equally glad if he's having a few bad games – simply because he'll learn much more from those.

He clearly has the talent, all he needs is get some priceless experience. That's the one thing you can't really teach. I like him a lot as a player and still think he will be part of our future.

His wife had their first child on Saturday night. I suspect he might be a bit tired and distracted.

His baby is in intensive care, so I hope everything works out ok for him and his family.

He's got it pretty bad, probably on about £10,000 a week and works 15 hours a week. So sad

Hope you feel a bit of a tw at now.....

Well clearly didn't know that was the case and I doubt very much the person who's comment I was replying to was referring to this but yeah clearly don't mean the bloke any harm or any of his family.

Oh no.

Really hope the little one is ok. Football – and pretty much everything else – suddenly loses all importance at times like that.

It's a shame.

It seems as if he's gone quite backwards after promotion.

Must be attitude and/or lack of confidence more than anything else.

Disappointed how he reacted last season. Rather than thinking he had made it, should have learned from the experienced players we had.

His twittering moaning about not being involved shown how his mind was working.

Shame, great talent, but not the finished article that he thought he was.

The boys had one or two problems then with his baby and now an op ....   can see how this may have affected him and perhaps explains a few things

Good luck Liam ! ...   You're still one of our own

Countryfox did me a favour there.....

Reminded me of the existence of "In the country" by The Farmer's Boys.

The sound of young Norfolk - quite cheered up my morning:

While I'm onto 80s bands singing about the country, here's Big Country:

Good luck to Liam with his op and footballing career and all that....

Lot of Bristol City fans I know says he's done ok down there but apparently it's been clear he's been playing through the pain barrier, so probably for the best that he has the op. Imagine he'll look to put the past 3/4 months behind him football wise and kick on hopefully

What on earth happened to him? Played a big part in us winning the championship. Started the season in the premier league. And now is a regular on the subs bench for relegation candidates Bristol city in the championship. Did the money and fame get to his head?

Got a year and a half left on his deal. Can't see us renewing it tbh.

Play off season - started in the team and lost his place, didn't get back in the team

Promotion season - started in the team and lost his place, didn't get back in the team

He's not that good, hyped because he's an academy lad.
