Unsure if the clappers will be there tomorrow. Don't know if it's worth the club putting them on every seat in the ground if there are going to be 10k fans inside the stadium. If they were to fill the whole stadium with them, there would be 20k approx unused clap banners.

Sorry but you can't blame the fans here.

Had we put the first team out then yes but the manager has said it will be a similar team to the one who played Bury.

We have a strong squad but asking people to fork out 15-20 quid to watch the ressies will result in apathy.

It's just everything. It's a combination of a lot of things. The pricing isn't good (and it was badly marketed as £13-£30 even though 99% of them are £13-£18), the team we'll put out isn't going to tempt people to come etc... it's just a total cop out. It's there for the taking for West Ham now, although given the way they treated the Europa League I'd imagine there might not actually be loads in it.

It's such a poor show all-round. Ten thousand FFS. I'd expect Reading to manage more.

It may well be the second string but it is still a dam site stronger than the crap we put out last season against Shrewsbury.

No team plays their strongest eleven anymore in this competition so we are not alone in doing this. Price wise it is about right so I don't know why people are moaning at paying fifteen to twenty quid in order to watch an Austrian Captain and International in Fuchs a Swiss captain and International in Inlet and an England international in Carroll?

That's tabloid-esque. Come on.

There has always been a relative amount of apathy towards this competition - and at one time the fixtures were included in a season ticket.

I recall using a season ticket book Filbo because my mates Dad couldn't be arsed to go and watching an early round draw with Brighton and Hove Albion sat in an almost empty Double Decker. Must have been one of Brian Little's last games in charge..

We lost and Neil Lewis had a shocker...that's all I remember, bar the fact that Jimmy Case got booked for time wasting and sent off right at the end.

I suppose there will be people buying on the gate and then we've got West Ham fans bringing at least 1k if not a lot more I would think. Predicting around 15k attendance in total but I could easily be wrong with that.

That would be a fair point if he'd told people that 3 weeks ago.

I'm not suggesting we should sell out, but given the 'we could sell out a 40k stadium, expand immediately' stuff spouted over the summer I would have thought 20-22k would be very realistic.

I paid £13 for my ticket. Even as someone who is vehemently opposed to tickets exceeding what is morally fair I think that is good value. Irrespective of whether we see 'ressies' or not. Between us and the opposition there will probably be 10 internationals on display. Hardly a kids game.

Yes midweek games are challenging to get to for a lot of fans - but we used to have 10 of them a season in the Championship and we still used to exceed 23k on a regular basis.

Maybe I'm being unrealistic but I would have expected our fans to jump at the chance to see our great team.

Power of marketing for you.

remember when kitchandro tried to make out like this was a great draw and we'd sell out and win the cup and itd be amazing.

10k in the rain watching our reserves lose to west ham. rather this competition just didnt even exist anymore if its always gonna end up like this.

It is a good draw being at home, and it should be a competion that we should set out to win / have a good run in. If the club / manager don't understand this, it's a real shame.

I lived in London a few years ago and West Ham played Wigan in this round of the Capital One Cup.

They priced every ticket in the ground at £10, advertised it, and it was a complete sell out. Maybe LCFC could take some notice.

West Ham lost 4-1 if I remember rightly.

West.ham have been great this season beating all top teams away from home....!!

So we are in trouble.

Mmmm a momento..!!!

That said,.... they themselves are now above us, so we usually do well against top teams.

People moaning that we're changing the team. O'Neill used to change the team for cup matches and we won it twice. Bought players in like Jamie Lawrence, Mark Robins, Graeme Fenton, Steff Oakes , who didn't feature a lot in the league

According to Claudio's press conference on the moan in, completely different starting 11.Dodoo to start.

Don't get why people are complaining about changing the team. We now have a squad that should be able to compete no matter what team we put out. I guess West Ham will make similar changes if not wholesale.

Should get more than 10k surely. Although saying that, I won't be able to make this one myself.
