West Ham Carling Cup pre match thread

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but if it's bought through ur season ticket ref, you use your card as usual??

When you order your ticket you are given the option of having it loaded onto your card or as a paper ticket. That was on the website. I assume if you order over the phone and they didnt ask you then it would be loaded onto your card

I'm actually amazed it's that bad a crowd. We sell out pretty much every game in the league and as a result you'll get plenty miss out on tickets. Tonight is a rare chance to see Leicester at a cut price and we're looking set to muster an 'effort' I'd expect some nobodies like Hull or Reading to match. Embarrassing.

I'd go if I could :(

I got my tkts yesterday afternoon and the woman who served me told me that 17,000 tkts had be sold up to that point

That's good to hear that we have sold more. Given that, I am assuming near and around 20k attendance for tonight. Especially as that was yesterday afternoon because more would of been sold today as well.

yea I would presume the same, considering how difficult it is to get a tkts nowadays though it's a good opportunity for people who don't go that much to get to a match and cheaper tkts too so I'm a little surprised that we've not sold more even though it's a midweek game

Some of our fans annoy me with this sort of fixture. So many moan they cant get tickets and want the stadium expanding immediately, and yet when they have a chance to get to a game tonight at a good price, they are nowhere to be seen. Obviously some people have other commitments before anyone gets on their high horse.

Just been mine to pick my ticket up as I normally take the kids but then being at school I wasn't going to bother... Inler had just arrived at the ground and a few other players cars were there already

looking forward to this game, going to be end to end staff and two of the best Premier League midfielders so far could be on show tonight Payet & Mahrez.

i got a feeling we will have a good cup run and i would love a clean sheet tonight .

Except they'll be paying to see Leicester Reserves. That's not meant to be insulting to the individual players but the likely crowd you mention is a reflection of the fans apathy given how many times we've fielded disappointing line-ups in the past and not even seen them do themselves justice. I'm not blaming anyone. It's the attitude of everyone now. Play the shadow team or thereabouts.

we played west ham a month ago and will play them again at home this season, we dont get it for free as a season ticket holder and we have already announced we will make 11 changes. why would anyone be surprised to see this is a struggle to sell.

as for "people always moan about us selling out why dont they go now"? it's because they want to go and see us play in the prem. not see our reserves play west ham reserves in the carling cup. they want to see exciting, talked about players like mahrez (or cambiasso last year) and england internationals like vardy taking on world cup winners like mertesaker and ozil or england captains like john terry and rooney, not (no offence) joe dodoo and wasyl playing against some west ham players nobody has ever heard of.

but the biggest part is season ticket holders still have to pay. i bet a good 50% of STH (upwards of 10k deffo) won't be going tonight.

Hardly scandalous.....we're unbeaten and have come from behind the last two games.

I mean in the context of things. We've one of Europe's brightest young strikers on the bench whose not had a single minute on the pitch in the league in 6 games. It's scandalous but a sign of how well we're doing. That's why tonight is so important for the fringe players like Kramaric and Fuchs.
